It's a remake of Goldeneye except it's for the computer. It allows online play!!! OMG 1337!

The alpha/beta is to released on December 25th for all those whom are interested.

By the way, it's a mod of Half Life 2 so you will need to own that game before you can install Goldeneye Source. Get the $30 version of Half Life 2 (cardboard Box) not the "Game of the Year" edition (plastic case). It needs to be online.

Actually, the Alpha is coming in December. It says that the Beta isn't until September 2006.

Unless the September 2006 was a typo and the Beta comes before the Alpha (which is possible- I don't know what an Alpha is).

That blows. I heard that Half Life 2 is a good game, so maybe I'll check it out. My family has been ragging on me to put together a Christmas list anyway.

Well, I'm getting HL2 Tuesday just because and for christmas, if I don't get the gaming laptop that I want then I'll be getting a top end gfx card to pwn with.

You should have at least 512MB of RAM and a decent gfx card. I would say at least 128MB of video RAM. If not, your game is going to be running ****** unless you put it on bad resolution then it will look ****** instead. :P

Half-Life 2 is an orgasmic game, the graphics are awesome and the best part is the storyline. I loved it.

Godly graphics approaching realism --> motion sickness.

Yes, I'm one of those poor souls that gets sick when running around for twenty minutes in the game. As long as action keeps up, my mind doesn't focus on the motion; but when there's nobody to shoot...

Anyway, the GoldeneyeSource mod looks interesting, but I wouldn't be betting on a release that's really that great until it actually happens. There are lots of mods that start being developed and never finish, so don't get your hopes up.
