Was there a moment when it all "clicked"?
Just curious for the badass pro-run and gunners out there.... was wondering if there was a moment when suddenly you went from good to great and what that moment was...
I remember when Kobe started taking shot lessons from this shot coach... and his percentage went way down for like 2/3 of a season and then BOOM out of nowhere it skyrocketed past his old percentages... like it just "clicked"...
anyone have similar experiences in SOCOM?

I don't really fit the label of run & gunner, I prefer "get-sh*t-doner" :D . Seriously, my style is more advance-secure-advance, so there's a method to my madness.
The last 6 months of Socom 2, I managed 2-3 kills per round, and I felt I really held my own. Then Socom 3 hit, and it was like Socom to the 20th power. There've been many games where my deaths are double my kills, and I even managed a few 0-11s.
Recently I've clicked, as you put it. Last night I played 2 full games: Harvester Demo 9-3, Crucible Demo 19-7 MVP. The night before I played a fine game of Boneyard Small 14-2.
I'll be happy to see this continue, as I'd really like to get my rank up, and especially my kills over deaths rating. Two weeks ago I had 814 kills and 974 deaths, and as of today I have 1030 kills and 1093 deaths, so I'm close!

Amen.
But on a serious note I feel like if I get a 3-1 ratio every round I am holding my own. Lately I have greatly improved mainly I think it is because I have become smarter, I mean I learn to wait, clear, and go. "Let the flies come to you young grasshopper"

I think it really clicked for me when I learned where the other team spawned. So I did not rush headlong by myself into a group of enemies exiting their spawn point. Also learning the maps and the major choke points has helped me. Find the choke points (high traffic areas) and find a nice bush lay down and snipe their arses.

I "clicked" in Socom 2. It was back in the day, when I was first starting. i was using the M4sd and STG as my main weapons. Then I started to learn the M16. I put week or so of work into it, and then all of a sudden, I just started doing good. Ever since then, I've considered myself a pretty good player.
