Everyone settle down. This has turned into nothing but a flame war. 234en, I can understand your wanting everyone to be treated the same way (as far as enforcing the rules is concerned) but that will never be the case. It is a fact of life that people are willing to bend the rules slightly for those who they have been in contact with for long periods of time and for those who ave shown respect towards each other. The respected members of this site do not break the rules on a consistent basis. The respected members may break the rules every now and then, but don't you think they should be able to? The members who have been around for a long time and have gained the respect of their fellow man here at this site have done so by posting respectfully, avoiding flame wars, posting intelligently and other things that go hand in hand with those.

The main thing I am trying to stress is that, if you want the same privileges (sp?) and respect that someone like mOB gets, then be an active participant on the forums and be respectful. It is as simple as that.

I would like to think that we're all moderated equally, but I recognize that it isn't the case. From your perspective, how big is the difference between how older members are moderated when compared to new members?

He posted that in the original thread. It doesn't make as much sense here, but basically he's just angry that people were flaming eachother when they should know better.

Seriously. I find must "veteran" members of this site to be very good. I personally don't see any problems with the occasional "online fisticuffs". If I see anything I disagree with or question, I ask a mod. You can ask a good deal of 'em, Cheesy, LuFend, BobaFat, Not otter (

). If you have a problem, thats the place to bring it up. No?

Cheesy, I made one and only one flame post (that I left). And I did not deny that I flamed. I even deleted 4 posts that I had in there because I knew they were against the rules.

I know what I did was wrong, I apologize.
