DEBATE: SOCOM vs. Call of Duty 2

Yeah Call to duty is nice but one thing i've always hated was the view i cant stand just having your pistol showing and not your body its basic technology to me i want to see my body so i can determine my body position and socom does this plus the engine in call to duty is basic ,the movement is 2d not 3d like our beloved socom i dont
know about u but they [360] will never compete with ps3 and socom due to there unability to keep up with playstations technology.

also Americas Army is coming out once again 2d not 3d i like the fact that it was designed by the army but once again failed to show the body but rather the gun i like games where i can see myself and put myself in a character mode i see a person not a gun in 2d games i cant do that i say to myself i'm a tommy gun or somrthing to that affect but in socom i.m i know who i am, I'm GETUM , and its time to kick buttt because i can personlize my character to what i want and the job i have to do

first person shooters are not 2D... a 2D shooter is pre-Doom 1...

Third person is a must for me... best shooter ever was Freedom Fighters... I mean, in a FPS if you take a nade you just die, but in freedom fighters you really fly, and it just looks cool

I think call of duty should switch to 3rd person, with first person on zoom, like SOCOM and the conflict series of games

Online Call of Duty sucks....... Offline it's badass. It definently feels like being in a war. I can't wait for America's Army!!!!!

cod is one of my top regrets. I loved it for pc, but i hate it for ps2.

I used to be a huge fan of FPS, but thanks to SOCOM, I, at this point, can't tolerate them. This is one major reason why I can't stand CoD or MoH. Your player seems almost pasted on the screen. Bleh. And the movement...it's like I'm on a rotating pedestal or osmething.

COD is an amazing game, my fav (more than s3). I'm fine with the lack of 3rd person, but i do agree that on console it is terrible.

yea i play americas army. my computer is crap so its kinda hard to play. but battlefield 2 is on for ps2, which is 3d. but my friend rented it and said, its like amercias army. you suck real bad when you start and have to play for a while to get good. and what i mean is getting one kill the whole game

socom is better becauase it's 3rd person 1st person shooters are great on computers but on consoles they don't compete with 3rd person shooters
