Sorry for being the little spammer that I am, but I can sum up my socom success very simply with a cute little smiley.....

It works wonders and even if I don't start playing well I most likely won't remember anyway.

I have a great example of not quiting when doin bad

The other night i was 0-3 but my team was up 2-1 so i decided to stay and try to do better and the next round i ended up gettin 9 kills and i ended the game 19-5 and MVP so i guess you should never give up like he said

I usually say f@ck it and pull out a Mk. 48 and jus rush and get like 4 or 5 kills then bust out my M16 again and I rule, jus gettin a couple kills and havin some fun will get u back in it.

DONT COMPLAIN!! This is the only way to get better. Example: " I shot that dude in the back and he didnt die!" This is a very common comment when your online but does nothing to better your game. When you make these types of comments it is just and excuse for not killing someone. Lag and such are part of the game the sooner you accept it the better you will be. I always try to tell myself well you almost had that guy but you shot early, went for the body instead of the head and next time i will not make that mistake. My point is dont blame the game for your screw ups and watch your game improve.

hope my thoughts help every1

i see alot of times ppl lets say 3 or 4 rounds in a game and are 0-4 or 1-4 and get discouraged and just say f@ck it with the game and either abort or give up trying something different.

why is this??

im just curious what the rest of you use to keep you "In the Game".
myself i go from round to round. As many of the ppl who have played with me online and/or are in my clan the key is to NEVER give up.just cause you have no kills in 3 or 4 rounds or 1 even doesnt mean it will be bad game for you.Myself due to my "strait killer rushin tactics" i find myself in these holes quite often but i never give up.

IT ONLY TAKES ONE GOOD ROUND TO PUT YOU BACK IN IT PPL!!!

This is my favorite saying for Socom 2 and 3.My friend who lives up the road from me (AGuyWithaGun) hears this from me all the time(im sure it gets old but hes seen it work).I mean it only takes 1 or 2 good rounds to put your kills over death for the game and get you going.I see too many ppl give up when they have more deaths than kills in a game and it bothers me.God forbid you should have a bad game ya know

Now im not sayin it works 100%of the time, buuuuut i would say atleast 85% of the time it does work and you can atleast come back from a sucky kill/death ratio in game and atleast be even at the end for the most part if not have more kills than deaths.

the keys-

NEVER GIVE UP!

Always push for that extra kill even if you think you will die!

Set ingame goals (example- your in round 4 and its tied 2-2 for the sides but your 0-4....well set your goal to be atleast half your deaths for that round, so atleast aim to get 2 kills and anymore is a plus).

Remember where you got killed and who was around (generally if ppl are gettin easy kills in a certain area ive learned they tend to stay around there....go with back up or try and flank them to catch them off gaurd).

don't let having more deaths than kills bother you right away, it will only throw off your game in the long run!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now im curious what method the rest of you use to overcome more deaths than kills in order to even it up by the end of the game or have more kills than deaths by then?I want proven methods too, to me this method of mine is proven if your upbeat and the outlook is "play round to round,it only takes 1 or 2 to put you over the top".Ill tell you now, determination can be as powerful as any weapon in this game if utilized!!!

So lets hear how you stay on top guys....not much else to really talk about in or about Socom 3 so with this it can help with any game really.

p.s. Remember kids...the only REAL losers are...QUITTERS!!!!

Even if you have a bad game or lose doesnt make you awful, it makes you better in the long run
You posted something like this back in s2 and i read it and even now i still use it. I tell all my clan mates and friends "Never give up" im the guy in the clan that keeps the hope in my clan. This works most of them times for me even if i lose the game i most likely still have more kills then deaths. When i did i just say "Oh well someone has to die, ill get him next time" I hate when people say "OMG THATS BS I SHOT HIM 100 TIMES ARGH!" cuz if they shot him 100 times he would be dead and there just makin stuff up. But thats just me.

Very good topic! I see what you talked about a lot. I stay in the game until the very end. Something important:

Use anything extra!- Have grenades? Use them! Have a RPG? Fire it at the enemy. If you die, that ammo will just go to waste (unless someone else picks it up). If you always ride in the tank durring a convoy map and die, then don't get in the tank anymore!

Never say die! In Killing Fields- 10 kills, 1 death- I used the tank every chance I had. I death was when I left the tank to get to the convoy truck faster which was under attack.

If you can make people nervous, they will lose accuracy. They want to kill you, but you won't let them, so they try the "Spray and Pray" tactic. If you have good accuracy, use it to your advantage!

What I do when I am "losing" is to wait at the spawn until the fighting slows down. Hide behind cover and charge out with a friend to get a few more kills. If you have tied deaths and kills, don't let the enemy find you! Hide and don't die. Less deaths more better hope and faith!

Well... Here's my little story... Your tactic is quite true infact I've done something like this before. I was on the seal side playing with a bunch of noobs... And there all rushing getting em selves killed... I think the map is called Antenio or something I seriously dunno. Anyways they all rushed again.. got em selves powend.... I myself wasnt doing to good... The game was tied 5-5 and I think I was like 7-10.... Everyone but me and 3 other dudes died... And I was still back at the seal spawn... So I'm just chillin there being a camping noobie I guess... Anyways this guys comes crashing around the corner blazing at me with an m16 and missed EVERY shot... So I just kinda sat there and popped him with my m4 which had a supressor on it... Then I ran back to that little path that all my noobie buddies ran into and got powned... sure enough... 2 terrorists came rushing at me when I went to go get the terrorists and I kicked their *** lol... Anyways... Thats pretty much what happened... I got 7 kills... and went from 7-10 to 14-10 lol... pretty awesome.

Edit--- Oh and I won the game for us too... got the last couple of kills... I think it was all me that got the last 7 remaining.

i will switch weapons to have different tactics and also a different spawn point so i can go a different way or something of that sort.. the main thing that will get me going though is motivation, if i'm down 0-4 after 4 rounds ill get heated enough to get out there and do whatever it takes to get back and at least get even..

Change your tactics often, and keep trying.
