Voting Out issue

hey I have an issue with the Voting Out process, but for what might be an unusual reason. Over the course of Socom 1-3 Ive been voted out of quite a few games. a LOT. a WHOLE BUNCH. For no other reason than the fact that I dont communicate with the mic as much as other players on the team would like.

You see, Im deaf. I cant hear a damn thing. not that im over-anxious to listen to all that meaningless mumbo jumbo that is spewed over the headset anyway, but I get kicked out of games not because Im ignoring you guys ( who knows, if I could hear, I just might, but thats another story for another time ) but because some of the players just have NO patience whatsoever with someone who plays the game a bit different than they do.

I CAN communicate verbally and use the headset to relay voice comms to other players as best I can if need be, and Im also certain there aint a dang thing I can do about this issue other than try to make you guys aware that, HEY THERES HEARING IMPAIRED PEOPLE HERE, TOO!.

Id just like to ask, and I dont expect this to reach a HUGE audience, but its a a start, but can you please NOT be so vote-off-happy when someones not playing exactly the way youd like them to?? I know how the game is played, and I play it pretty well. Teamwork isnt a big issue for me for the obvious reasons, though I try and help out when and where I can, you know, backup and breach assistance, covering fire and recon, and I do appreciate the nifty in-game typewriter. ( HUGE kudos to Zipper Interactive for keeping that in Socom 3, I was worried it might be dropped from the game, but it shows how dedicated Zipper Interactive is to keeping the game accessible!)

I know its not an issue thats even on the radar for most of you but its an issue for me, and I figure the more people that know, the better.

Hm... Deaf people. Don't let Discombobulate beat you up. I played a concert at a school for the hearing impaired in Victoria in grade 9 for my band class.

Anyway, I think that anyone who agrees with you wouldn't vote you out in the first place. It must be annoying for you, though, since it's really annoying to get voted out (especially when you and UnwrittenLaw go into a room and I say "lets vote these guys out" and then we get voted because the other three guys were threatened by the one vote that they got each since Law was too much of a sissy to vote with me.)

Yeah it can be annoying but theres a gazillion rooms out there in the Socom universe to play in, and Ill go and play with the other countries if I have to.... I cant speak japanese or russian but I can spout gibberish just as good as the rest of you...

Besides, it could be they ( the voters-off) are just voting me off in a jealous rage due to the fact I just owned thier *** in a game... after all,

Deaf People Do It Better...

I didn't have a mic for S2, and mine won't work now for S3. I got voted out maybe twice in S2, don't know if it was b/c of the mic or not, but I haven't been voted out once yet in S3. Plus, with so many people having problems with their mics not working at all, I doubt you'd have a problem.

I only vote people who are being jackasses, not because they can't communicate or hear.

Let us know your SOCOM 3 name and perhaps you can meet up with some of us. Voting is a pain.....I see all kinds of folks get voted because they join a game late and get placed on a team that wants to be "all clan only" or whatever.....on S 2 they wouldn't even ask you or give you a chance to leave on your own.....totally immature...but hey, that's most of humanity.

One thing I would suggest is picking up a USB keyboard....you can message folks through that and let them know about your situation when you start the game.
