scoping problem

ight, this is my problem. While i was playin devil's road i had a m16a2 with a highscope attached. I zoomed in and saw a guy laying down pretty far away. I went to 16x and start shooting him. The problem was he didn't die. I shoot 2 clips and he wouldn't die! Any1 else have this problem???

i know im not hitting the ground cuz i tryed hitting the guy in all 3 stances! Plus there should not be such a thing as beign to far away from some1.

M14 will solve your problems if you looking for an assult rifle, otherwise just go to a real sniperrifle

Yea guns have a rang on how far they can shoot, even if you can see them in your scope.

You were just to far away. In this game unlike socom II, the range of the gun acually affects its performance. In socom II, I could snipe people across the map with the M4A1, now in this game, you will notice that sometimes you could see someone in scope and try shooting them and they wont get it. Its just the range, the M16A2 has the highest range of an assult rifle in the game.

Effective Range chart

M16A2: 115m

After 115 meters with the M16A2, the bullets have zero effect... don't ask me why... they just don't do anything... they cease to be.

That number is even smaller if you equip an M203.

Guns with the exact same range include the Silenced SASR, Silenced SR-25, M14, IW, and Stg. 77.

The only thing that shoots farther is a big heavy 50 cal sniper rifle...

i've had the same problem on occasion but the difference was that i was seeing blood appear on the guys head for like 9 shots and he just ignored me and kept goin. when i've shot people and noticed no effect at all i realize that they're out of range so i move in closer to get my kill, but when i see bloody wounds appearing where i'm hitting him that means i should be killing him, and this has happened at ranges of less than 100m.
