I agree with most of it except that a lot of people used m16's in s2 when you actually needed skill and 203's r 4 scrubs (and still are). They are waaay to good...they gotta reduce the range on that gun.

If people could use the Mk.48 to snipe they would..... just like anything else there is a trade-off. It is probably the best all-round weapon there is. That is why it is so popular already, anybody can pick it up and do well. Well rounded imo means does all well but none great. As people experiment they will move away from it to something that is better suited to what they enjoy.

Why people hating on the M16? I use it as an optional Sniper Rifle, meaning if my target is far away, yes you will get sniped with my M16. If you are close enough for an assult kill, then you will be killed up close and personal. Rifle laser does make good use. If you attach it with the Red Dot, your bullets will go strait instead of sideways, up and down. The M16 is good the way it is. Don't start calling it the noob weapon. I use it as I please.

If you're pissed about people sniping you with the M-16, when you have a sniper rifle (people like JewPanda), get better! They killed you because they are better than you. They shot you first, not the gun.
I personally have only used it once, and while I liked it, I much rather preffered my IW or STG.
If you don't like the gun, play in No Assault Rifle rooms, it's that simple.
When I did use it, I equipped the High Scope, with the Rifle Laser.

Agreed! You see so many of those rooms too. I'm a M16A2 lover and I will not stop using it.

well i would have to i use it with the medium scope and a 2o3 attachment .
for me the highscope is to heavy and zooms in to much and plus im not that good at sniping to begain with

when i bought socom II i really only played it for alittle while, and kinda just winged it when it came to the guns
i just bought socom III and started testing out every weapon, and the m16a2 is by far my favorite. its the only gun that im actually good with and is light enough to run around with.
i use it with a laser and a low scope

M16 Attachments
The only attachments i add to my LOVED M16 is a MEDIUM SCOPE..nothing else.
*When the fight gets too serious, such as when the opposing team is using GLs, I add the M203 attachment to the M16...NO EXTRA Frags are required...why?...because the M16 is my sniper rifle, I snipe with it and run and gun, and the M203 is used only when things get out of hand..you know what i mean man?..people closing on you and u cant tk a clear shot..
