Y'know i think Harvester would be the next crossroads cause when S3 beta test came out, so the map they featured was harvester so ppl who did have the beta would have experience on that map making it easy 4 kills against persay a newbie and + its a easy map to learn and its not that large compared to other S3 Maps.

old maps
i don not agree that they should port the old maps from socom 2 to 3. this game has proven its the best without the help of its predisesors. they do not need to change anything about the maps. the only thing they should work on are rank ups which is totally cheap considering the ammount of ranks in this game and how much work it takes to recieve one of those higher ranks like leutenant or sergent.

as far as gameplay, i think devils road small is the next crossroads. similar tactics, setup, etc, not to mention the resemblance. as far as popularity i think it is harvester, but i dont like it that much, especially large supression, and its only popular because that was the beta map.
