My first time shooting a Pellet Gun... w00t!

I shot a pellet gun for the first time today... it was sweet... I was shooting coke cans with a friend... His record was 20 something misses 3 hits, and mine was 18 hits 6 misses and 3 times where it went right through the can and it didnt fall off. Man it was fun... Next I wanna try something with a scope...

Oh and do you have to be 18 to shoot a real gun at a shooting range? Im just curious...

Nice, I shot my first pellet gun at like 8 :P
I dunno about Canada, but I'm interested to know of any shooting ranges that would let me in(15 years old) near chicago

Shooting range? no. I think you just need to be accompanied by an adult. I would call ahead and confirm.

You do need to be eighteen to buy ammo/firearms of all kinds.

Yeah if you like shooting go down to your local shooting range and try a .22. That's the most common; you should have tons of fun.

I have a scoped pump-action air rifle with these nasty little bullet-shaped metal bbs. Crazy accurate, irresponsibly powerful (no doubt can punch through skin...it punches holes in plastic lawn chairs and cardboard boxes filled with peanuts with ease), and fun as hell, though it takes a while to reload.

Cool adema, I just spoke with my mother and she will take me sometime. She even plans to shoot off some rounds :P Just gotta find a place, if any one knows a place near chicago that will admit minors pm me.

new york has some crap where you have to be 16 with an adult to shoot a shotgun, 18 to shoot a rifle, and 21 with a permit to shoot a handgun (or i think anyway, i was supposed to go with my grandpa, a gun collector, and this is what i think he said)

pellet guns are fun, but nothign special, i think i shot my first one at like 6, and then a real gun (12 guage shotgun) at 8, that was funny, 8 year olds cant handle that much recoil,my dad was laughing his arse off.

airsoft guns are a bit more fun, because you can shoot people with em.
ive had about a dozen, im down to 4 or 5 now because i play with my friends and they ahve no idea how to not break my damn expensive bbguns.

i shot a spas-12 gauge at 10 dam that thing made me step back like 3 steps and at a gun range you have to be aompanied by an adult and if ur gonna shoot first do .22 then get like a ar-15 .223 thats hella fun then move to .308 like a hk-91 or m14 and whap a scope on it its so hard to keep a dam scope steady on a bipod with arses shooting next to u but gun ranges are fun cuz i look bad *** shooting one of my dads guns

oh and about what killbo_fraggins said yea after shooting about 2-4 clips of my dads hk-91 (.30

my arm had a bruise from it my dad laughed but when we were in some woods he shot a 12g pump with a slug lol he had a huge bruise so i laughed at him

BB and pellet guns are fun. When I was a kid, I had both. But my best one, was a Crosman pump .177 pellet gun. I have a buddy now, that has a .177 side **** rifle. I'm not sure of the brand. With a scope, it is awesome! He can hit a pigeon, in the head, from almost a block away. If you do get a scope for your pellet gun, make sure it's one made for a pellet gun. A pellet gun, has a kick, both ways. It'll ruin a regular scope.
I have a Ruger 10-22, with a folding stock, that makes it look like a assualt rifle. Don't remember the name of the stock, and 50 round banana clip. It's a lot of fun, to plink with it. I even have a speed loader for the clips.
