Socom 3 sniping

I've heard that the maps in socom 3 are goin to be massively bigger the the ones in Socom 2 so if your anygood at it wouldn't Sniping be the thing to do. Personally ive been practising my Sniping in socom 2 constantly because i think Sniping is gonna be pretty usely in Socom 3

I think sniping is going to become more primary (like it was on levels like foxhunt) but like always, only the good ones will prevail (Ex: Blizzard, where all the newbies with their thermal scopes run up to middle hill and i pick em off from the seals hill without a thermal)

sniping will be very good in S3 but there is still alot of the game that has to be runnin gun like a convoy map the convoy moves so its not like u r gonna sit in a building takin out the noobs (jk i would) the whole time or are u gonna defend the convoy by bein a runnin gun and killin a few ppl

Well it will depend on the map also. If it is a map like harvester (a giant foxhunt like level) then sniping will be more popular, but on an urban level like citadel (narrow streets, etc.) sniping will be less evident, but possibly easier because a sniper will only be able to cover a few alleys at most at a time instead of a whole field, but at the same time will only have to shoot down a straight line. I think sniping will be on par with using other auto weapons, but I also think that sniping will be a bad idea for some modes unless you have a specific job (Example: control point, the only reason I would be a sniper on control is to defend a control point from afar or possibly try and take out the guys in their vehicles.)

thats true all though sniping will be great i thing if your whole team is sniping then it would be pretty bad...one guy slips by and kills u all that would be ambarrasing

I love sniping and yeah socom 3 maps look huge someone said 4 times larger than foxhunt..**** thats cool :P

massive maps arent gonna be cool with 10 ppl, they need to be full up. I dont get the ratio, twice as many ppl allowed in S3, how come the maps are 4X bigger! And i suck at sniping so ill almost certainly get pwned. there beter be a crossraods type of map so the assault/machine gunnerse have a chance. i heard there are heaps of jungle maps... snipers will just put on a thermal and pwn, thats sad i like using assault rifles and the m60. there will be lesser fluky grenade kills as well

thats true my favorite map in s2 is NS i absolutely love sniping in it but when ever i try doing something else with a assualt rifle it seems no matter were i go i get picked off by a sniper...sometimes very stressful alot of broken controllers
