The image above shows the current laws for Guns between New Jersey and Pennsylvania.. Incase some of you dont know, these 2 states border each other. I lived in New Jersey most of my life.. And seeing a gun in New Jersey was like seeing Haley's Comet. Mostly because of the laws mentioned above making it very diffucult to get one. Ever since i moved to PA, i noticed ALL my neighbors have guns. Its like a mandatory thing over here practically.

a TON of gangs from the N.Y.C. area have also moved up here recently...hmmm.... i wonder why.

I personally think there should be a federal standard law on guns which would be the same for all states. If people cant get their guns in one state, their just going to go to another. About a month ago there was a robbery at a gun store about 10 minutes from my house. The idiots got away with 50 handguns, and they had a New York license plate. They never caught the guys... 50 handguns out in the public now for any criminal to use. its gettin ridiculous.

and that's the problem with 90% of the current gun laws, they only work on law abiding citizens!

we only need 1 gun law, if you use a gun in a violent crime and are found guilty then you get the death penalty. now obviously this dosen't apply if you were defending a human life, whether yours or someone elses.

ex: you're carrying a gun and you stop in a gas station to get smokes. while you're there a guy comes in and sticks a gun to the clerks head and you manage to get the drop on him and shoot him but you only wound him. you have video and eye witness accounts to vouch that you were not involved in the robbery so the cops tell you "nice gun" and you go home, the other guy goes to court, get's convicted, and 6 months later he's executed. simple as that.

Warlock, then we would have to ship out tons of prisoners to other states which allow the death penalty. I think that numbers could add up, and the cost might be too much.

People are violent....not guns. PA has a ton of hunting and recreational firearms. Much like my hometown. Everyone is into hunting....not violence.

One point I want to make is that , in some cases, the more guns-the less violence. People think twice about breaking into a mans house if the chances are that they have weapons. Get it?

My parents house is very typical for upper Michigan. Between 15 and 20 different hunting guns and hand guns.

ok so there's no death penalty right? i'll bet you still have murder victims. you live in a state where the punishment dosen't fit the crime and criminals have no real fear of the judicial system. i'd start getting the word out that you need to fix your local goverment before worrying about honest folks gun rights.

Pennsylvania has all of these rediculous laws because just about everyone in PA outside of Philly, Pittsburgh, and Harrisburg is a hick. I think about 4 out of 5 households are gun owners. I live in a landlocked town and my dad owns 3 guns.

lmao And I thought PA was MUCH more peaceful and I expected NJ to be pretty *censored* violent....

Not to mention I've lived in NJ all my life.

The restrictions in PA are less strict because it is a "less violent" area than NJ. PA like Super said is big on hunting opposed to NJ where.. well they dont hunt as much. It is more likely someone in PA is buying a gun to hunt than kill someone opposed to NJ, so the restrictions are less strict.

But there should be a law about guns moving across state lines.

Its violent in PA sometimes... My one friend used to live in Wilkes-Barre and got shot in the leg twice and stabbed multiple times.
