Made Me Smile
Between my frustrations in my baseball dynasty and online lag, I decide to play Socom 2....offline
I planned to start on Admiral on the first mission
I used stealth on missions where I remembered the routes of the patrolling terrorists.
I used "run and gun" techniques on missions where I felt like blowing people up and being as reckless as possible.
The final mission of the game would qualify as "run and gun" for me.
At the start of the mission, I always break off running to go secure the bridge and alter the controls via the steering wheel.
So up and up and up the winding staircase I go. My entire SEAL team is, of course, a mile behind me.
By the time that I secure control of the bridge, my entire SEAL team has finally reached the top of the staircase, just in time to back me up in case if those dead terrorists decide to get all zombified.
So I begin my trip down the winding staircase. Apparently, the terrorists that traditionally meet me at the bottom of the stairs decided to get gutsy and move up a couple of floors to try and ambush me.
Well....it worked. I get about halfway down the stairs and I wind up passing by a terrorist. Couple more flights and there's another terrorist. My train of thought at this moment is "I'll continue down the stairs and my SEAL team can just mow them down whenever they get to that point"
Next thing I hear out of my SEAL team is "FRAG!!! GET DOWN!!!"
Knowing that I'm nowhere near my team, I stop dead in my tracks (getting ready to go 'round a corner and down another flight of stairs) and decide to wait and see what happens with the frag.
BOOM!!!!
Frag explodes....next thing I see is a terrorist body flying down AT LEAST (possibly more) 3 flights of stairs and landing on the stairs I was about to walk down. As the body lands on the steps in front of me, I turn the camera upwards and scream outloud "TEAM KILLER!!!"
Bravo team would eventually M16 the team killer while I continued on to defuse the bombs and save the day.
