back on topic, Vehicles will obviously influence teamwork even on a smaller role. The part about friends is an area where the player must make the effort to get into games with their friends and keep a relationship going by seeing them. Many of my friends have only seen me once and that is both of our faults. In Socom 3 I am going to try and keep bonds with other players so that eventually, I will have a constant group of say 5 friends that all log on into the same room and work together instead of running around. It will be a heck of a lot easier to drive with friends in a vehicle than with other people doing what they want.
Friends are not zippers main concern, I think the main thing they provide is a way for friends to interact better in-game and have real reasons to.
I believe that until you know a person you won't trust them to do their part, so you will try to do it for them. It is up to you to know a person. Of course a easier to keep up friends list (which I have heard you can use in game) will help in this area also.

You actually make a great point here. You say that Zipper isn't worried about people making friends, (because no doubt, it is hard to stop it happening) but then you went on to say that they are focusing on friend interaction in the game.
I never thought of that. Zipper should be, if they aren't already are, trying to get online-made friends to spend more time actually playing with each other instead of, "Ok, I'll play with you once every 3 days" sort of thing.
Now, here is where I think that you went wrong. If you have 4 other guys that are your friends, and you have them playing with you every day and all that jazz, chances are that the other 4 are friends with the opposite(?) guys that are your friends so they make friends with your friends. (That might not have made to much sense, I am sorry :( ) Now, you have 5 really tight friends that play every day, to me, at least in Socom2, if you have a group like that you do one of two things.
1.) You go off and make a clan together (example: u|s clan, and my clan CTU)
2.) You all join one of the friends clan that has room.
In short, friend interaction isn't the goal of Zipper in my mind, the goal is friend interaction turned into CLAN interaction. So what do you think of that???
Thank you LuFeng for your wonderful edit to my original post--lol
