Yeah, team work will be essential this time around. On a side note, can a passenger in a vehicle fire at surrounding enemies in SOCOM III?

Just be happy with what you have. Socom is the only game that I've played with any sort of friends list or clan feature.

It may sound like it, but teamwork isn't essential in any game. I thought it would be in Socom1, and 2. People run in and kill, few times people make plans. Even during clan wars a lot of times people just run in and kill eachother. In Socom 3, we will have the same players that played 1 and 2... Yes the idea of teamwork is great, but the fact is: people are morons. People care more about kills than most other things. As lon as they run in and get the most kills that round they're happy. With 32 people, it might be even worst. Think about it, you're going down a hallway with boxes on each side ( e.g:Death Trap). Now will you get a teammate to go with you, you get one side and teammate gets the other, or are you gonna go down there and get both kills. Yes, people will choose choice 1, but I feel in-game most people would rather go in and get kills instead of camping, waiting for a teammate, then executing. Just another opinion.

Yes passengers can fire at surrounding enemies while using certain vehicles ie. humvee.

Ok, no doubt now that interaction will play a much larger scale in the game, thanks for the good posts. . .

Yeah, honestly I can say that Socom is the only game that has a decent community. We should all be thankful and I really don't see anyway it can get better except in terms in gameplay(i.e. people wil now be relying on people a lot more because of multi passenger vehicles and what not).

Man if you want to start relationships play a different game like World of War Craft or some crap like that man. In order to preform strats and talk to people on your team or to arrange games, the list, the mic and keyboard is all anyone needs. Now don't get me wrong i think that establishing freinds to play with online is good but I hate people who just go online to talk or start rooms to chat.

Man, I don't really see the point you are trying to make. There are plenty of rooms for you to leave and join.

My clan always talks, we have alot to say and share the same interests. I mean, if we are on one side and have the majority or it is OUR room, I think we have the right to talk if we want to, that is why I do not complain about someone talking.

Ps: 1000th post I'd say 800 or more are spam :P -Lu

congratz on 1000 posts lol.
back on topic, Vehicles will obviously influence teamwork even on a smaller role. The part about friends is an area where the player must make the effort to get into games with their friends and keep a relationship going by seeing them. Many of my friends have only seen me once and that is both of our faults. In Socom 3 I am going to try and keep bonds with other players so that eventually, I will have a constant group of say 5 friends that all log on into the same room and work together instead of running around. It will be a heck of a lot easier to drive with friends in a vehicle than with other people doing what they want.
Friends are not zippers main concern, I think the main thing they provide is a way for friends to interact better in-game and have real reasons to.
I believe that until you know a person you won't trust them to do their part, so you will try to do it for them. It is up to you to know a person. Of course a easier to keep up friends list (which I have heard you can use in game) will help in this area also.

Conragts on the big 1000!
Anyway, I think vehicles will do one of two things, but probably not both.
1. Encourage team play.
2. 3 or 4 people split off and go out looking for kills. This is basically what happens in Socom 1 and 2 except with less people in those games.
