Anyway, I have said my point of view. Open mic...in my opinion, sucks.
I don't like it because of the static and the whole thing where YOU CAN'T TELL WHAT ANYONE SAYS!!
Now, If Zipper could somehow make these things go away, then yes, I'd be alot more willing to see the system come to the new instalment.
i hate the mic system on xbox live..mainly because even if there is any lag, the mics are the first thing to go..so half the time u only hear like pieces of what people r saying...
turn based mics r fine and if u think about it..real navy seals wouldnt have 16 guys all talking and shouting to eachtother at once..
I believe with the new and larger amount of people for one team the Mic system will completely change. I will have to wait and see how beta is to confirm this, but they are just my thoughts. I believe everyone knows how there are seperate channels in socom. Well, from the looks of Socom3 they made it a little easier for people to be on different channels. There are 2 or 3 total chanels. This may spark a use for smaller fire teams as it were within the teams. Splitting up the team into sections and having them on seperate channels would greatly reduce the lag. I am sure players and clans with superior teamwork already will be able to figure something out.
it should be like in the pregame lobby each side should have seals and terrorists like always...but split each each 16 player team into 2 8 player squads and have it so they can communicate with signals or signals or something and that way the mics during play would remain relatively the same as s2.
