There will be a lot more radio stations that you should take advantage of. Also in the lobby, i think it would be a good idea for there to be like a team radio channel in the lobby, were you can talk but dont have to worry about the other team hearing you. Instead of having to do the team chat on the keyboard.

Lol. i hate using the micc in lobby. It always cuts me off...At least i know when the keyboard will cut me off. LOL> those bastards having a set time for the mic! GRRRRR...lol. I can see the advantages of open mic...You can be consentrating with sniing or avoiding getting shot and not have to worry cuz its hands free. But the downside being people breathing in the mic and crap like that...I saw that in SW: Battlefront and i never want to see that again.

Open mic can be funny though at times. One time i heard a baby scream over the mic and some guy scream "shut the fruck up I'm playing a game". What a great father.

When I grow up I want to be just like that guy.

The mic system in s2 was good besides people holding the mic in the lobby so no body could speak, but they could add a open mic option so you only have to use it if you want to.If people are anooying you can always mute them.

Well, I seem to see people that like open mic and the type that Socom2 has currently. Personally, I think that the maker of the game (if you are in a made room) should be able to choose. Otherwise, it should stay the same, don't fix what isn't broken

Yeah for sure. . .This is my thinking right now:
If they use an open mic system they better have options to turn that off once you make your own room. It also, like FX said, better have clearer systems. What I mean by this you should be able to at least tell someone is talking instead of having a bunch of static.
ALSO: Maybe it is possible to only have a certain amount of people talking at once, like 10? Or even less.
I would think that Team Chat, Clan Chat, (ext) will become usefull to, I mean, whos to say that open mic doesn't carry over into the actual game that you are playing (Maps: Foxhunt while you play) so channels will probably become popular. But, I think (and correct me instead of flaming) I haven't heard about channels in the Lobby. Although it seems like there will/should be, I haven't heard any info about this, I'll do some research.

IMO since there will be 16 players on each team and the maps will be much larger, i belive that people should just use the different channels because it would add alot of strategy and teamwork into the game...

like in a clan war you split your squad into 2 teams of 8..or if more channels are available, then 4 teams of four...

as for the lobby chat ...open mic would be chaotic..i think they shld just put channels in the lobby..and they would be good enough along with type chat...

;:my thoughts:;

No... i dont hink that an open mic is not a good idea for 32 players... even in the lobby... Wait your turn.. we had to do it in socom 2 and they probably put in a system.... first come first serve... whoever presses O first gets to talk first....

I'm not exactly sure what you meant by this Canz...if you can't talk in the lobby then how could you possibly hear anybody? I'm guessing that you meant Armory.....And reaver......Could you possibly take that link out of you sig area....I believe it is causing the problem with the page being soo damn wide....But open mic would be A VERY good idea because I hate them mic hogs that talk for three hours about their cat licking their nipple (lol) while in-game when you see a whole 5-man team of seals rushing your way.....horrible..
