Day 2: Kyoto
Damnit, we came here in the riany season. Its raining constantly and my sneakers are soaked every day.
This city is friggin uber. Everything is tiny, but ironically enough the temples and the rail stations are MASSIVE. Take grand central station in new york and multiply each side by 4 and you get this station. MASSIVE.
This is the station, as viewed from the inside. This is only a fraction of it.

This is the view from the top of the station. Notice the five-leveled pagoda in the distance.
We first visited a small temple located on a mountainside overlooking kyoto
Closer view
This is the garden in front of the temple
Part of the garden is a sand garden. This thingy is made of sand.

A rock garden

Inside of this long temple are 1001 identical statues of the 21-armed buddha, each hand made several centuries ago. There are also 28 statues of some mythical buddhist figures.

God i love McDonalds.
Mmmm.....Japanese schoolgirls in short skirts and tight shirts.
