well, i know when im on terrorist im gonna use the ra-14, even though it was manufactured by the russians, cause some people say they are bad at making stuff, its a great gun, i also hope the aks-74 is in the game and was like it was in s1
Hmm..now that i think about it you may be right about the TV show saying the AK-47 is the second best rifle in the world for three reasons:
1. If its more than a year old than the xm8 and xm29 may not have been considered because they are not mainstream guns
2. I spose with all the variations for the xm8 that they weren't considering it a rifle, and the xm29 is just as much more smg like than rifle like
3. The AUG series isn't that great or as widespread as the AK.. plus the AK is so easy to use..if i had one shot to kill someone i would definetly take the AK over the AUG
So You may be right about what you saw on TV but there are other guns in the world better than the AK-47 and i think that's illistrated in SOCOM because the AK isn't as bad it just takes getting used to...but it's not M4
it sucks that the IW and M14 could still be in the game since they are from socom 1.For the IW i could be wrong.I think the M8 assault rifle will be in there from Ghost Recon 2.G36C would be awesome since that was my favorite gun from Rainbow Six 3.I think a good edition to the terrorists would have to be an UMP smg.The t's need more fast weapons other than the M14 that arent week.I know a lot of people will say im wrong but the t's need better weapons as there 2 best ones,are already used bye seals
Ya the IW is not from s1 but the m14 definetly is...and contraire myself along with most others agree that the terrorist need much better ****...and more mines dammit!
Also the AK47 is one of the best guns in the world in real life. What other gun do you see that was made in the 40's still being used today...not many at all.
Sorry but the Colt 1911A2 has beat you there with it being in service since before WW1. Of course it was called the A1 For some time, then upgrades came to the A2
This list is dissapointing. Whats a war game without rocket launchers and grenade launchers? This is totaly sad... And why would they narrow down the pistols? They need more! If there is no sp10 or m3 12guage I wont even play this game.

this is the confirmed list SO FAR. there will be more in the game but nobody knows exactly which ones yet. one of my clan guys beta tested socom 2 and he siad not to worry because there were weapons in the final release that weren't even in the beta.
lol I dislike both of those guns for the lack of challenge. I pray to God that there will be no M3-12 guage at least. So far the list looks fine and totally agree that the AK-47 needs to at least needs to be a little faster and accurate because the power is fine. It's just so darn hard to hit people because you gotta get lucky with the bullet spread.

I should have clarified myself a little better and said rifle. I only say this because rifles don't tend to stay in use for more than a couple decades before a new rifle comes out. Also the M14 should be in the game because seals use it but they tend to use the m21 which is the sniper version of the M14. As for the IW-80, which in real life I'm pretty sure is under a different name like the SA-80 I think, is a british gun that I think is actually being replaced in their army. And by the way where the **** is the M1911A2 in this ****ing game.
