Well I'll also see if I can talk Rator into getting involved, as ultimately, it could be a good thing. However, SOTG now also has a member capable of drawing the maps, and will be doing so for SOCOM 3, so we can make those "official"
www.socom3.com maps, if we do this thing.
DaKilla, I'll IM you my cell phone number, so we can talk more on this. I'm in Hawaii.
And to answer someone else's question, yes, I would assume that "respectable" clans would get the SOCOM3 "Seal of Approval," and would be allowed to display this site's logo with a link to your list of approved clan names. If this site or any of the affiliated clans learn of one of the "approved" clans cheating, glitching, or otherwise doing something to dishonor your affilation, then their status as a SOCOM3 clan would be re-evaluated by the panel. I would recommend, when the "panel" is formed, that its meetings take place at a posted time and date, and one representative from each clan need be present.
Of course, several guidelines would have to be met to determine if the clan is 1. Perminent 2. Under adult leadership 3. Have a stable area for communications (ie website forums) 4. Do not cheat 5. Respect other clans 6. Practice good sportsmanship ........... and maybe some others, depending on what every clan agreed to for requirements.
I spent the afternoon looking around the internet for some clans that initially might be interested in cooperating with this project, as most of them meet some similar criteria, and are active clans who participate regularly with the ESeals and other SOCOM venues:
(Of course, I'm not suggesting all of these clans be accepted, this is just a list to begin looking at, to see if they are in fact respectable clans that we would want as a part of this organization. - Remember, just because we all don't know them, doesn't mean they aren't a mature, adult clan. Some may require our getting to know them.)

I would have included DOA (Dead on Arrival, who started the National SOCOM League, but as far as I can tell, these guys have fallen off the planet. I used to be friends with one of their members that was here in Hawaii, in the Navy.)
All of the above clans have a few things in common:
1. They have websites
2. They have rules on respecting their adversaries in battle and rules against glitching, cheating and talking trash.
3. Most have been active, or are ran by players that have been active in SOCOM and SOCOM eseals from the start of SOCOM.
I have been looking long and hard around the internet, and if you don't see your clan listed here, it's probably because you're clan isn't very well-known on the internet. I think this should be the base list for attempting to get together some responsible clans.
