Mine started, when my Son got the first Command & Conquer. I got hooked on it. I started playing on-line, and going to chat rooms. Made some very good friends. Still have them. I was using his PC so much, I got one for myself. I've gotten and played most of the Command & Conquer games. The only one I haven't, is the Renegade. Then my Son got a Playstation 2, and Socom 1. I started watching him play, and thought it was really cool. I was looking at stuff on Ebay, and found a good deal on a Playstation 2 with a copy of Socom 1, along with all the goodies, to go on-line. So my bid won. I've been hooked on Socom ever since. I got Socom 2 just before my Son did.

PS3 ID : Dead-Weight

Hmmm....I started with Quake 1.

However my addiction came with Quake 2 and the Lithium II mod. (If you remember my alter ego on this site was Lithium at one time.)

Has anyone else played this? It was such a big deal back in the day my local ISP even had it's own server set up that kept stats, etc.

That game was great. I played it for about 2 years in the late 90's

I think you're referring to Team Fortress Classic Adema.

Sadly, my online PC gaming career never began, due to a horrendously old 500 mhz. gateway I have depised for years that I am forced to use (anyone want to give me a new comp? l ) However, one of my friends at school was into gaming online with PS2, so I went el cheapo and bought some used copies of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and...Socom2. Never been able to put it down since. Chaos Theory has barely been touched, and I traded in my only other online game (ATV 3) for Deus ex: the conspiracy. Love that socom2!
