It looks like it finally might be happening, Jezz might be getting an NTSC ps2 so I can come on and own all you noobs.

I will need your help, yes yours. Can you tell me (show me) what wire it is that runs from your ps2 to tv. And if you have any knowledge on it tell me if I will need an adapter of any kind (i know i will need a power adapter).

Any help is appreciated...

I'd get the best aftermarket PS2 wire for whatever TV you have.

I used to have the Monster Cable S-video wire for PS2 and it worked great, although not as good as my new Monster Cable Component Video wires that I'm using with my new TV..

The regular PS2 cable is just RCAs and is unshielded. If you have an older TV, this is the best you can do, but if your newer TV has an svideo input or component inputs, go with those.

The difference in graphics is incredible.

BTW for everyone else here whose still using the plain old RCA wires, it's completely worth the upgrade if your TV has the inputs. It makes the colors and graphics a LOT clearer!

Components - Clearest & most colorful
S-Video - Clearer & more colorful
RCAs - Normal


OHHH BTW, I still have that Monster Cable s-video wire. I paid like $50 for it. But I'll ship it to anyone who wants it, for $25 shipped. Cause it's doing nothing cept sitting in a box right now. And its worth every dime, especially for 50% off.

Can i hook up my ps2 via s-cable, I have a 50 inch with no component cable option but it does allow for scable

Yeah, you just have to go buy one. I think the PS2 brand s-video is like 30 bux, but for better quality you can get the Monster Cable for $50.

cool, I will take u up on that, one thing , I have seen the component cable and what it does for graphics and such, can I expect the same sort of thing from the s-cable?

Also, is it a standard s-cable or does it have a special harness for the ps2?
