Some of the Things that jumped out at me are:

DIfferent game types on each map.

Maps scale to the number of players. If they do this right it could be great, but if they do it wrong it could make the came suck ***.

90 player stats including kills for each weapon. I use a lot of different weapons and it would be nice to see how I do with each of them. If they could include hit % for each weapon I would like that too but it may not be possible.

This also enables other players to see just who uses the shotgun all the time and who gets the job done with just a pistol.
All in all it sounds great and I can't wait.

Yea, I think it would be smart to put all the stats on a website. It would probably be a lot easier to navigate throug hall 90 stats.

My bad about Seals piloting helis , but apparently some people are too arrogant for there own good and can't resist the nerd internet warrior in them.

But take in consideration that Zipper took in many of the ideas people were complaing/asking about from majority and lag is the number one issue so they'll definitely try to fix it but I don't know how they're going to fix lag with adding 16 more players and vehicles to the mix. But whatever they do I just hope it gets rid of lag. Hopefully the maps are good but I would like a little more than 12 maps for online, because some of the maps probably won' be that good because not everyone can get it right, Bitter Jungle, Rat's Nest, Shadow Falls, Abandoned and etc. I hope they have a nice map for snipers to compensate for the loss of Foxhunt though, I loved that map.
But I think it's a good thing what they're doing for Socom 3, people are too afraid of change but games only get better from it. Seals do use vehicles and have all out wars and 16 vs. 16 is an all out war. But people really shouldn't worry because if they don't like it, they can make a room with only 8 vs 8, no vehicles, no cheap guns and go back to old Socom, it works out best for all of us.

What I'm really happy about what they did is with the stats, the ability to see what guns you normally use, how many kills you get with grenades, mines and pistols, that's really cool. FOr my stats, it'll probably be lots of grenades, some sniper/pistol and more grenade kills.

I like that idea. I would have tons of pistol kills since half of my kills come from the pistol and the other half come from the M87ELR or M82. This would make it easier for me to get our players stats off of a website than go on their profile and copy all their stats.

The lag question... everyone should realize that technology does progress quite remarkably these days. We're playing SOCOM 2 on almost 2-year-old servers. Do you really think they would make it up to 16v16 without some plan to control the lag?

Socom 2 has 22 original maps and 3 HDD maps making the total 25.
12 maps may not sound like much but if you factor in 7 different game mode that works out to 84 different variation if you can choose any of the 7 types on all 12 maps. Plus it does say all maps will have a respawn option, and with them scaling to the number of players it will make for a lot of verity in game play.

SO basically they're slimming down the number of maps, but adding more game-play options....nice.
