Noob Guns

Well, i like to use the M4s as a seal, but when i'm a terrorist, i like to use th M14 sometimes. I've had a few people complain to me about that. Now, i don't use the M203s and the IW-80s, not because there supposed to be noob guns, but because i don't think it's fair, and there are a large amount of good weapons on the seals side. The terrorist weapons are much less satisfactory to me, however, so i think they should be able to use whatever they want [excepting RPGs]. I'm just curious, which of you think the M14 is a noob gun, and which of you don't? This is just out of curiousity, i hope i'm not breaking any complicated forum rules or anything.

No, I personally don't regard the M14 as a "noob" gun....Then again I DID take a 10 month leave from the game, so I myself am constantly accused of being a "noob"....But, what do I care?....

I myself, define "noob gun" as a gun I wouldn't want to be killed by....Only guns that fall into that category would be the 203 and the IW, b/c last time I checked, the M14 had some CRAZY recoil on it....but apparently b/c a gun is strong, the masses have decided to dub it "noob"

I could probably make a case against the M3 b/c that's my "too drunk to aim" gun....but that's the only other I'd even consider....

But then again....supposedly I'm a "noob"

I dont like that people name guns a n00b gun because you get an easy kill. If it was too easy then why is it in the game? People just dont want to admit they died and let the other person get the glory. :(

One interesting thing i have noticed is this: in my years playing Socom, i have not ONCE heard a female player call anybody a n00b for using a certain gun. It's always a guy.

For that matter, I have only heard one female player. I've had this game almost since it came out too. Although I took about a years break and came back to it. :D (Sorry, kinda off topic)

I personally think of it as the easy kill gun. While there is skill in shooting far objects, up close it's BS

Cuz the ladies rarely talk. But i have seen around 20 or 30 in my time. They NEVER get angry. Very mellow. Maybe we guys should try that sometimes. Like the musical, A Westside story, says....boy boy crazy boy, play it cool boy *snap ** snap*. Yes this is off topic.

There are no noob guns. They are there for a reason and if u get killed by one too bad suck it up and move on.

People just complain because they get owned real bad by a gun and they call it a newb gun.A gun is a gun and if you cant handle getting owned by it then you shouldnt be playing this game.

Like Big Red said, we, as guys, tend to get a little angry sometimes. I didn't really care about this subject much until some guy started talking about my mom and calling me a dirty Mexican because i said hello. And i'm not even joking. Anyway, back to topic. xa, you say that the m14 is BS when it's up close. I respect your opinion, but that's like me saying that the m4a1 is a noob gun because it's too accurate at mid-long range. Once again, I hope i didn't break any weird rule there.

I've never had a problem with being killed by any particular gun. It matters that I'm dead, not what I was shot with. I do, however, get angry when all that I see is M14s. Not because they're too good, but because they're too damn numerous. You don't like listening to the same song fifty times every day, so why do you people like listening to the same bloody gun all day?
