Why else would they show you the names of the top 10 glitchers EVERY TIME YOU LOGON?

Since I was just writing about this in another post, it really got me thinking. Why isn't any admiral and everyone with rankup stats in the top 1000 deleted and their IPs banned? That would be a good start towards dealing with the cheaters, glitchers and rankupers.

I was just comparing Socom to Counterstrike, and I was mentioning how Counterstrike has a system to catch cheaters in place, and a penalty.

Along with Counterstrike running, it has a built in program called VAC2 - VALVE ANTI CHEAT 2, which is pretty damn hard to get around these days. If anyone is caught cheating, their account gets deleted, and their IP gets banned.. PERMANENTLY. They can never play another Valve game online again! (from the same IP) That means if I'm caught cheating on CS, I can't even play Half Life 2, because it connects to the Valve servers before you play to make sure your not on the blacklist and that your using a legit version of the game.

SOOO WHY IS THAT ZIPPER ACTUALLY CREATED A RANK FOR THE TOP 10 CHEATS? Think about it - THEY ACTUALLY HAVE THE TOP TEN CHEATERS RANKED, and they do nothing about it!! It's pointless!

CHEATERS HAVE THEIR OWN RANK!!

Please someone tell me the point of this?? Zipper could stop the cheating if they wanted, and it would begin with something as simple as deleting every Admiral account and banning their IP. They could then move on to #11, and down the line. The simple fact is they put up with this BS, and they even support it, by giving cheaters their own rank!

Goddamn its stupid! Every time you logon to Socom, you see a list of the top 10 cheaters!! Then we wonder "Why is cheating so rampant on Socom?". It's because of RANK, plain and simple.. and the Admiral rank is the most pointless one of all!!! It adds NO VALUE TO THE GAME, in fact, it really just destroys value...

The fact that they put up the names of the biggest cheaters just says to me that they could care less about people cheating, glitching and ranking up. And you know what that means, when you put up with something and do nothing about it, its the same as endorsing it and saying its okay.

IT HAS TO BE CLEAR AND OBVIOUS TO _EVERYONE_ AT ZIPPER THAT THE ADMIRALS ARE RANK UPS AND CHEATS, AND THEY DONT DO A DAMN THING. NOT ONLY THAT, THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO THROW THE TOP 10 GLITCHERS NAMES IN YOUR FACE, EVERY TIME YOU LOGON. Then we wonder why people cheat and don't play legit.

It would be as simple as seeing what room the Admirals are in, and then banning and deleting every account! The worst part is.. Rank ^^ is a cheat, but to Rank ^^, you first got to GLITCH and create a room that you shouldn't even be able to make: GUIDANCE RESPAWN RANKUP. THEY ARE CHEATING IN A ROOM THAT YOU HAVE TO GLITCH TO MAKE.

And this crap is tolerated.

Anyway this is just another reason I probably wont be buying Socom 3, sorry to say. I love the actual game of Socom but I refuse to buy another... because I feel that we as legit players aren't taken care of by Zipper. I'll buy it, but only if they get rid of rank, which is the biggest most pointless stupid idea.. it only increases cheating, keeps you stuck in rooms you rather abort, and makes you pissed when you lose because you lose 'rank'. If there was no rank, there would be a lot less cheating, as people would let their guns do the talking instead of cheating to change an easily manipulated stat. And the game would be a lot more fun. That guy in the wall would care a lot less about winning or losing, if it didn't really matter.. and people could play to have FUN, not to have rank.

I know for a FACT that you set up wars... and you have a second PS2 and TV that you make a spectator on... so you can watch what the enemy is doing. Don't lie to me and deny it, I know everything that goes on around here, and your guilty too, ya damn cheater!!

Which is worse.. the guy glitching into a box, or the guy who has a second PS2 and TV setup so he can have a spectator watching the enemy team, who then proceeds to logon to socom3.com and post in an anti cheater thread....

Your a cheat too and we both know it, and now so does everyone else. Next time, try playing in a war LEGIT, and then you can post in this topic.

I Can't wait for a response on this! I wanna see the video of the 1v1 or even pics would be great...it was a legit war with people watching a R^getting owned just like they should be.

Anyhu, back on topic, if you deleted all of those accounts, then you would surely end up deleting some LEGIT good players' accounts. A few out of those people probably didnt cheat to be that good. And plus, what does it matter? I dont care if people are above me who cheated. Let it be, as the Beatles song goes.

I know, everytime I see the top 10 its like really annoying because its the same 10 up there everytime. And its really stupid because their stats are unreal. I cant believe the cheaters are actually winning. :(

CHEATING SUCKS. The thing is that zipper doesn't care really what goes on in the world of SOCOM II. WE DON'T PAY A THING, besides the Internet ( The Payment goes to your ISP, NOT SONY) and the PS2 and the network adapter and the game. I know the proceeds go to SONY and Zipper BUT, they have games like Final Fantasy. Plus, if SONY and Zipper did decide to delete and ban all the IP addresses of the cheaters, all they would have to do is get their IP address changed. All i have to do is call COMCAST and i can get my IP changed. It would take to much time and effort to do it and i dont think they really want use that time and effort.~

Same here. Everyone knows there are no specs in any war. You just don't let that happen fo that exact reason, cheating. Any war with spectators shouldn't even count. Even if they were your friends watching, they can still help you.
