Zipper can't just go off and ban the top 10 players in SOCOM II. It's unethical. Yes it may/may not be true that the top 10 players are indeed cheaters/glitchers, but it would be unfair to just ban them out of common sense.

Also, very few IP providers give fixed IPs. I have Cox Cable and I can change my IP address by going to control panel and clicking "Repair connection."

I remember reading a sticky on the socom-2.com forums a long time ago saying that SONY bans MAC addresses. This is better indeed, but still.

thats two different things! rank ups rooms and guys that come into normal rooms and glitch are apples to oranges. YES we need more support against glitchers but rank up rooms are avoidable.

BUT i have found that the best way to counter a glitcher is to know the glitches yourself. Theres usually a way to counter pretty much all the glitches. Like if someones in the garage of the halfwall in crossroads. there are spots that you can get into that look right into the glitch and allow you to kill them. Learn your game well and youll know the best ways to counter them even if it has to be waiting on the other side of the map for a draw and get the guy/avoid him the next round or until they can vote him out. if they dont, then leave and go into one of the other 238942938 rooms available.

The point is that Zipper still has the audacity to show us the names of the Top 10 Glitchers every time you logon. I think its a little insulting actually. People should have gotten real mad a long time ago, and maybe they would have done something. I agree it's probably too late, but I dont agree that it should be that way.

Oh well, maybe we can start a petition or something in SOCOM3. Sounds fun to me...

a LITTLE insulting? Heck no. It's extremely insulting. As long as we're not emptying the contents of our wallets into their pockets, Zipper will leave us with what we have. i guess the cheaters and Rank ^s won't get what's coming to them until socom 3 comes out. Hopefully.

Since I was just writing about this in another post, it really got me thinking. Why isn't any admiral and everyone with rankup stats in the top 1000 deleted and their IPs banned? That would be a good start towards dealing with the cheaters, glitchers and rankupers.
