speed, acceleration, dead zone ?? controller settings

ok could somebody explain to me what each of them do??

the issue here is that i changed the settings and now the character keeps moving by itself when I stop moving.. it keeps moving like slowly

at first I thought it was my controller but then ive tried 2 other controllers and it still does the same thing..

so i suppose it had something to do with one of those 3 settings, so help,

thanx

Dead zone is the zone around the center in which movement isn't registered. I suggest you should put it at around a quarter.
Look speed is how fast you turn, bump it up all the way.
Acceleration is how quick it gets to top speed, bump it up too.

Soon you'll be spinning circles around your enemies

ok

thanx, i understand, but my question is about the character moving by itself, because i tried 3 controllers and it still keeps moving when I release the joystick, (it moves a little slowly like if I were pushing the joystick slightly)

so does that has something to do with those settings ??

does aceleration refers to the characters moving speed ? and could you explain dead zone a little clearer ?? hehe, thanx again.

Basically you have the dead zone to low. The dead zone is an imaginary box on the stick that it will not register as input. If you have it really low then the box is small and the tiniest touch will set movement off. If you have it really high you have to jam it all the way and you lose control.
Acceleration is like a cars', it's how quick the thing goes from 0 to max look speed.

Simply put, keep moving the marker on the Deadzone control to the right until your character quits drifting by itself.
