Cable Modem Connection Problem

I have my cable hooked up and everything.. i got all the setups...and when i try to test it out...it always fails...so i put the game in and i try to log in...it just sits on the CONNECTING part and doesnt do anything... then i tried pullin my cord out and putting it back in then it just says that the cable is diconnected....i have no clue whats wrong with it.... please some one help me!!!!!!!!!

no im not using a router... im thinking thats like the problem...and if it is.....this freakin sucks cuz i dont really have the money for it right now

Nah you dont need one, i dont have any too. Just directly plug your cable into your modem and your ps2 and then unplugged your modem for like 5sec. After in the online settings just choose "Auto" for everything and you should be fine

ok i have my online cd thingy in.... so i go to ISP setup right??? and click on ISP setup?? then click on autpmatic configuration???

Yeah put all on auto, but dont forget you still have to do your online configuration on the Online Menu of Socom...
But auto also on this one! Tell me if its not working

ok i just tried and the test failed...plus i already put my setup on socom....

Now i really dont know what to tell you, try searching for other similar thread and maybe you'll find your answer... Im not an expert in this domain, but at least i tried!

ok well on the socom menu...i should pick the ethernet one right or the modem??? if u really dont know thanks for tryin to help me out :) i hope i do play later on tonight :o :)

I to am also having a problem with my cable internet. My internet works fine, and i'll be able to log on and everything, but every half hour or so, my modem resets itself. It never did this before and i'm wondering why it's all of a sudden doing this. The funny thing is, when it resets and i'm playing socom, i get booted off completely from online, but it's i'm sitting at my computer, i won't lose internet on my computer when my modem resets. Does anyone know why this is happening??
