Play-by-Play Forum

I think we should maybe have a play-by-play Forum, dedicated solely for telling us all about whatever game they had on socom. I know gamebattles.com has a forum like that and it's used well.

Like for example, how we keep telling you guys about our wars on INTL in private forums, that could go in play-by-play forum if we added a little more detail into it.

I think it'd be a great forum for those socom enthusiasts (I dare say we have a lovely bunch on this site) or people who are suffering from extreme boredom

If we could get it in there with General Disussion and Online Gaming, it'd get a lot of hits.

What do you think?

If it could be kept from people saying, "that is awesome I wish I could do that." So if at the top of the thread is says to only make your own situation/ story and then mods delete unrelated post and warn users not to do it again through a pm it will be one of the best threads EVA.

But only if that happens

I think it is a good idea because not everyone can get into the private forum to see the war results.
And it should not be that difficult for the mods to keep it cleaned up by deleting any useless un-needed post.

Well, right now it's 5-1 in favor of the idea, without me voting...

We'll wait a few more days to give everyone an equal chance to voice their opinions, especially fellow staff members. :D

If it is that popular an idea then I would say it is worthwhile. Anything to keep the constituents happy.

Actually, I was the one who voted no

. I regret it now, because it wasn't very smart of me. I said no because it would be abused. It would be alright to start with, as all forums are, but within a day, people will just start spamming with their "That was cool"s, and not adding anything to the thread. However, it would be cool to see some of the play-by-plays, and a forum for it might make some other people post some worthwhile information.

I regret saying no because the other option was "If it could be done, yes". It wasn't my place to say no because of what the users would do, I try to leave that for the moderators.

Think of the score as 7-0.

This isn't bashing your opinion, just merely defending mine...sort of...

Thats a valid point, but why did we split up the Graphics section into 3 forums? Why not have it in one? Because its more organized, same with the war threads, and this way...everyone gets to view them, AND the mods only have to look at one place for abuse of those kind of threads (ones tgat just say like....MAN I HAD AN AWESOME GAME TODAY I WENT 10-3) instead of all over :D
