Misc questions about Desert Glory...

(1) It seems to me that since the patch, the hostages now run away from the c4 wall before its blown. I don't play alot but I remember getting kills this way before the patch. Now it seems that they run which helps alert you before the wall is blown. Am I imagining this?

(2) When you are in the cell with the hostages, can you fire through the bars? I always seem to get killed as terrorist while inside the cell. But as a seal it seems that I can fire into the cell.

(3) If the seals kill 2 hostages and I as a terrorist go ahead and shoot the last one will my team win if I can survive for 5 seconds?

(3A) If as a seal I park the hostages near a pnn mine and throw a HE close enough to set off the mine (but far enough from the hostages to not do harm) and it kills the hostages, will that count against me or the terrorist that planted the mine?

(4) Are theses questions profiling me as a camper??? LOL J/K I camp sometimes but if Im the last guy alive on your team and Im camping in the hostage building, you better start thinking about your gun for the next round.

I know that these are probally extreme newie questions but remember we were all new at one point.

Thanks for any info that will make my camping expeditions more memorable

1. I don't know if you imagine it or not, but I remember people stacking the hostages against the C4 wall and then someone holding them there so if the seals blew it it would kill the hostages, but it doesn't seem to work anymore, the hostages seem to get away from it even if the Terr try to hold them. (In my opinion that is good) but I may imagine that as well.

2. Leave the door open if you are a Terr and trying to shoot out at the seals. For some odd reason when the door is closed it is hard to shoot out of the cell, your shots usually hit the celling no matter where you aim. (just my experience on that)

3. Yes your team will win, even if they kill you right after you kill the hostage. They can still get credit for killing you, but if they kill two of them, as soon as the third one dies, it is over.

3A. Depends on what they die by, the Nade, or the Mine. The best thing to do is just run the hostages over the mines, rather then trying to park them and then get back and toss a Nade far enough away not to hurt the hostages, but blow up the mines. Easier just to make them run over the mines.

4. I think everyone camps sometime or another...

You know you are not seeing things the hostages do run away from the wall when the seals click the c4 on the wall. The trick to that one is to stand in front of the hostages when you got them there and they try to run away they eventually will stop when they realize they cant run anywhere, so they stop. ; )

also another trick is to not hide in the jail cell

About the killing of two hostages: In any extraction map if the seals kill two hostages you don't ever have to do anything to the last one, it already will say that the seals have lost. So, if two are dead and noone has won yet, that means that you ended up killing one. But when terrorists kill two then you do have to kill the last one.

jk about the subject, but if you are going to camp, mix it up. I never do the same thing two times in a row. For desert glory i like to:

camp near the wall of the door that leads into the hostage room, so you can see who is coming, but won't die from C4. it is also good to mine up. put a mine at the entrance of the door near one side, so the seals dont see it, but it is still able to kill them. Also, put mines on the door that leads outside through the left room, a mine on the cave stairs or door that is blown down, and put a mine either on the c4 wall or the stairs leading upstairs. make sure to call the hostages to you so you dont get grenaded

Camp inside the cage. i put mine a mine near the wall facing the cage where the seals run by. I also put a mine in the middle of the room in the dark. then i put mines in the outside corners of the cage where it is dark. leave the cage door open and have a M14 or a powerful weapon. i usually only call the hostages if i am one of the last ones alive, so they dont know that i am in the room or am not sure where i am.

Another good thing is to mine the building and climg upstairs on the roof. go to the lower roof and hide by the wall. When the seals go in or out with the hostages, it usually is an easy kill. the only bad thing about this spot is that C4 will kill you if you are above it.

Yeah man, isn't sad when people have a quote in their signature and they claim that they said it but they actually didn't. Change that 'Me' in your signature to 'Ludacris'.
