i just found this out today... i dont know if everybody else has heard, but Madden 2005 is going to be the last madden with EA Sports...
I was shocked in that matter, but i heard that maddens contract with EA Sports was up after this year and that they are going to sign over with ESPN to continue making games. so, no, the madden series isnt over... just with a different company.
im just shocked because Madden sold over 1.3million copies withen the first week of its release and EA Sports are letting them go so easily... i believe that 1.3million is the highest amount ever sold in one week of a games release. thats a lot of madden players but suspiciously, there is still a 30k player average on SOCOM... :?
Its simple. Madden sells a hell of alot more games than the ESPN series. They'll probably discontinue the series. I think I heard somewhere that EA was merging with someone else. I can't remember I could be wrong.
