I never looked for anyone to agree with me. Its was an opinion nothing more. When I talked about laughing at them I never took the time to apologize to anyone. I cannot help what others think is funny only what I find funny. I have a morbid outlook on life yes,but I do not expect anyone to understand or agree. I am not a psychologist nor am I an expert on religion. All I can say with certainty is that this is the way I feel about death. What is right and wrong about emotions? Sure there is a place and a time for anything, but alot of that discussion was just as outrageous as what I said. Maybe that was a bad time to say what I said. But who is anyone to decide what I or anyone should feel.


THANK YOU to the people who posted ALL the things I said. That way we could view ALL sides of the issue.( YES EVEN THE PEOPLE WHO HAD A DIFFRENT OPINION OTHER THAN MINE )

He did something wrong and hurtful. He even apologized.
So you defending the fact (not the original idea) that he did something wrong makes you wrong. You knew that some of us were hurt by his words, yet you rose to support his actions whether you agreed with the content of his words. Therefore you deserve to be flamed.

He (according to me) only meant to imply that EVERYONE is intitled to their beliefs and everyone has a voice(short interpretation of the 1st Ammendment, I think?)I never meant to rekindle any hard feelings that you all may have against eachother. 7) SCUBA-STEVE I honestly apologize for posting off topic. I just feel that what has transpired so far in Mael's short time here must be shared with the community, not just through PM's.

I will now post on topic. I am a firm believer that everything on earth comes from the earth and returns to the earth. It's not hard to understand and accept. We are all made of recycled organic matter that was here long before our insignificant minute time of existence graced this planet. As for the human race as a species......pathetic. The Earth has been aroung for 5.5 billion years and we have done more damage in the last 100 then has ever been done. We are the only species to kill it's own for reasons other than food.

The Earth is going NOWHERE. It always finds a way to correct any situation it wants. This is how evolution works. It's a slow process which replaces life and makes it more complex until the earth decides to start over again. Our only saving grace is that the earth doesnt get pissed off very often. It takes thousands of years for it to get really upset so we should be alright for now. Now if evolution can fix all the god-damned friggin lag in this god-damned Socom crap then I might have a more positive feeling about the future!!!!!!!!

To explain my beliefs on the subject of death, I pull all of my references for the great lord above. I am conservative, southern Baptist. I feel death is not something to be laughed at but, do feel it is a time of celebration. Human nature involved the emotional part and is trully dependent on the person. When I say celebration, I believe when the the Lord calls you to his kingdom, he calls you for a reason. According to the good book, Heaven is a beatiful and majestical place where fear and pain is erased.

As far as 9/11, I was affected very deeply. I to am a firefighter and would have followed all 343 firefighters in that day. That could have quite possibly been me. If it was, I think what would of happened to my family. I am a husband to a loving wife and three beautiful daughters. Neither, I could live with out. When the victims of the WTC were in fear and pain, the Lord called unto them, cradled them in his arms, and relieved the sites of pain and horror unfolding in front of them.

Everybody has their own beliefs but they have to realize we are a diversed culture and have too be sensitive not to offend anyone. Therfore any blatent comments that offend anyone sometimes should be left to yourself.

I don't take offense to what Mael said but do feel he will recieve something beyond his wildest dreams when his day comes before the Lord.

There is no actual proof that the Earth is that old. Some ppl think its only been around for a few 1000 yrs.( Yes it was actual professional scientists that said that)

I was brought up Southern Babtist I do recall they said not everyone goes to Heaven. When you said I'm sure gunna go to heaven(basically what you said) I believe that is a mortal view on what Heaven will be like? Not all people go to heaven no matter what " good deeds " we think we do. That is all Im gunna say. (maybe) As I said before I am not an expert on religion. Period.

Attempting suicide is not selfish, to me...it is a call for help...Mael probably doesn't want help (neither would I if it went that far). Otter, you don't know his reasons for aqttempting suicide, so if I were you I wouldn't talk about that.

Boba, when I said off topic, I just wasn't asking for spam or other flaming material (yes, I did flame wet, only in my deffense...if you could call it that... :? ).

I also think (in my opinion) I have given a bit more respect during the time period this thread has been going through, and I hope others notice as well.

I do not believe in Adam and Eve, I believe in Evolution and the Darwin theory...

I do not yet have an opinion on how long the Earth has been standing, but then that leads me to also saying their could be many, many more "Earth's" out there. Their are billions of solar systems, so why would just one out of those billion have some sort of life on it...
