Yea i have played Resident Evil Outbreak online... I would give it an 8/10 im not pro at rating games but i'll break it down a little for you, i am a big RE fan so there is going to be a little more of a cushion
Pro: Nice Graphics, Creepy, Smarter Enemies, Coop
Cons: NO VOICE CHAT!! Hard, Loading between rooms, Slpooy Controls
I thought the graphics were very nice for a resident evil game... Although the last RE game i played was the second one for PSX. You can choose between several people with diffrent abilitys (Gun expert, Lockpicker, Mechanic) It is pretty creepy if you play it in the dark late at night. And the zombies and bad guys will actually move from room to room, so you have to think on your feet, I think RE is funner with 3 more people, it makes it feel like you're not the only one who didn't get the virus. You can also turn into a zombie if you get bit and attack them
There is no voice chat and i think this is what keeps the game from getting a better score! you can't tell anyone where to go, or what you're doing. For instance there is one place with an elevator and you can't tell what floor your teammates are on. I guess it makes it a little real but if you could talk to people on the same floor this game would be awsome! It is a little harder, and there are load times longer than those in the past games (The HDD will remove these a little bit) and you still have the basic RE controls which are hard at first, but you'll get use to them.
Bottom Line: I would recommend a rent first. If you love the game then buy it, there are unlockables like alternate clothes and such. I heard the second one comes out soon, If it has voice chat then i will be the first in line to buy it!
