messed up computer??
Sorry, but this post has nothing to do with socom, I guess thats why its in the "off topic" section. Well anywat my question is this... sometimes when im using my computer, my computer just randomly restarts, and this blue screen comes up and says "NMI: Parity check / Memory Parity Error." Does anyone know what the hell I can do to fix it?? This only started happening when I installed XP home on my computer. BTW, this computer is kinda old, so maybe that could be the reason??

ah man, apple macs are sooooo crap, I have an iBook, and it the worst peice of crap ever. I take such good care of it, and its still a peice of sh**, it completely messed up around a month ago, and I had to send back to apple, in california. Its best to just get a dell laptop or something like that. About my blue screen thing, I def dont have a virus, because I have reformatted around 3 times since it started, and it still happens. I also updated the bios, but its still happening.

The one and only problem with Apple computers is that they freeze about once a month. Thats it. All you do is restart it, and its good to go. You must have gotten a lemon. My dad picked up one of the G4 titaniums and has had a few problems with it only because it was a demo (a display computer sold at a lower price). Ive had my iMac for about 4 years and it has never crashed, caught a virus (Macs are nearly impossible to hack), or ever broken mechanically.

The truth is, Macs do what they are supposed to do, PC's dont.

Ur right about the G4 titaniums, those things kick ***, but I go to a school where they issue everyone in the 12th grade with an ibook, and literally everyone in my grade has had to send there mac back to california at one point in time.

ok, first of all did you uninstall (axe) your other program whatever that may be? you have to make sure all components of your old system are gone before running your new one (XP) and another thing is how much RAM do you have in that computer? low RAM and XP DO NOT fly together very well.
