DOES ANYONE WANT TO BE A TERRORIST ANYMORE?

Is it just me, the time I play, or a plain coinsedence that no one wants to be a terrorist anymore? I mean a team full of eight seals, not in the same clan either, said to us last night "No I don't feel like using a noobie cannon or M14 so I'm not gonna switch sides with you". I mean has the balance of weapon power gotten this bad. I have a few more things just like this like guys saying "Man I have been trying to be a seal for like 2 hours" when a game starts. I really hope this topic takes off because maybe then we could mail it to Sony and at least we have done our part to make this game better.


I MEAN ARE THE START POSITIONS AND GUNS REALLY THAT MUCH WORSE THAN THE SEALS?

Yes, the guns really are alot worse in my opinion. Just because i don't use guns with as much recoil as the M14 and guns with absolutely horrible accuracy like the the New Tube and STG77. The only two things that leaves for me is Sniping and Mining&Shotgunning. Neither of which I am really good at. But I think that alot of people feel the same way and are just fed up with being and terrorist and are not playing as a terrorist anymore. ME, I'M JUST STUPID AND PLUS I LOVE ATTEMPTING TO BE A GOOD SNIPER.

i still wanna be a terrorist becuase they have the M14 and thats basically the only time i use that gun it's when im a terrorist.

I don't believe the guns need to be fixed.

A lot of people don't know how to use the Terrorist guns effectively. They take a good bit more skill than Seals guns, but that doesn't make them worse. I have been completely owned by Cheesy when he was using the SASR/M9. I have been owned by people using 9MM Subs, everything and I have owned people with F90s, 552s and M16s. The thing people don't seem to get is that with the Majority of the Terrorist guns you can't really spray and pray. You need to be accurate to use the Steyr in my opinion and you need to be accurate with the M16, in my opinion.

The only adjustments I would like to see, would be to shift all maps especially Frostfire back into terrorists favor and please FIX SHADOW FALLS, ABANDONED, and RAT'S NEST. Haha, good times.

I use the M16A2 and either the M87ELR or the M82A1A (I like the M82 much, much more).

To me, it technically doesn't matter what team I'm on, my weapons are on both sides. Well, I do use the M4A1SD a lot as well, but that doesn't matter.

I play Terrorist more than 50% of the time, and I'm happy with it. I try to be a terrorist. I find the challenge is a bit more exciting, that is, when I'm not extremely bored out of my mind with the game.

Although I do think the Seals have a better selection of weapons I still enjoy playing as a Terrorist. At first I was pissed at the 552 in SOCOM 2. It didn't have nearly the rate of fire as SOCOM 1. But now that I have been using it more I find it to be a damn accurate weapon. What I think is the biggest concern is the amount of lag that is going on. I am now pretty much keeping rooms I make down to 8 or less people.

To answer your question in the first entry however. Yes, I do see a lot of people that won't play as Terrorists. They refuse to switch sides when asked and always whine-tit around when forced to. I would like on future versions of SOCOM to have an option of selecting weapon loadouts so you can chose to have all weapons the same on each side. Yes, I know the "real world" the US has some of the finest weapons there are, but SOCOM is nothing like real combat or real shooting for that matter. It is a game of shoot and scoot (for the most part) where its not big deal if you get hit.

Terrorists Are The Best, I Was Just In A Game Where All 4 Of My Mines Killed 5 ppl all 2gether, the seals were right nxt 2 eachother, and besdies, Its More exciting than having 2 spray and pray...

The SEALs have their advantages and the terrorist have other advantages. As far as SEALs having better weapons I sort of agree. The M14 is a great gun and the terrorist have some other guns that are good too, but the SEALs just have a few more good guns to choose from. Besides the weapons the SEALs have better camo. Terrorist however sometimes have the better starting positions. For example on Crossroads and Requiem the terrorist can get to the bomb before the SEALs. Also on Requiem the terrorist have better spots to snipe and camp out at their base area. I personally like playing as a terrorist I like being the underdog sometimes and being challenge, but I also use the M14 almost all the time so it really doesn't matter what side I'm on.

I think the STG is really accurate...just it isnt that strong. But i Heard the iw and stg take the same bullets...so I dunno...

Those people who want seals are probably those damn iw users or...They pick the most favoured side that the map favours (sorry bout grammar).
A lot of maps favour the seals...but anyway I love terrorists...I love seals too but ill be on either team it doesnt matter. -{EDIT}- Also, if these people would actually try using a different gun than the m14, and actually TRY a different gun, not just 1 or 2 rounds and say it sux...then we would have more Terrorist likers....they just need to actually seriously try it.



The only thing I hate is a full room...unless its respawn, because then it lags and boots me...I like games with max. of 4-10 some days 12 people.
