Rank up...who cares?
I have been reading this site for some time, and it truly amazes me about the complaints about ranks, ranking up, etc.
I have a question, and I am not attacking anyone, but who cares?
I do not value my rank, don't care about it, and don't care if people try to rank up. I mean, what an absolute waste of time. I actually liked it when people could glitch with rank up rooms, etc. That kept them out of the games I was playing in.
My rank does not mean a thing to me, I play for the fun of it, as most of the players I meet online. The only thing that bothers me is the game-play glitches, like the auto-glitches, etc. Other than that, why would anyone care what number they are?
I remember starting a new name, dropping to ensign at the beginning and then using my friend's playstation, and not wanting to screw with his rank, reloading my old name. I almost got voted off because I was a butterstick. I have moved up to captain a very long time ago, so rather than go to the ensign rooms, I went to one of the open ones, where I was almost booted since everyone was a cookie or captain.
Well, I proceeded to have one of my best games, had 25 kills...and must have devastated their ranks for that game. Screw 'em.
Enjoy the game, forget your rank. Means nothing. Ever ask yourself, if you get to captain, what have you really accomplished?
Nothing. Nothing at all. Except you may have cost yourself enjoyment in trying so damn hard to get your wings.
Play in their world. Live in yours.
