yea ps2 already came out its really cool. theres this game called SOCOM2 and you could play online with friends, oh and you could also talk over a mic. its like being on tha telephone its pretty tight man. maybe you should go get SOCOM II and a ps2

My guess would be sometime in this timeframe... I have heard rumors that they're going to use every last drop of the PS2's processor power (aren't they already there?) and keep the longevity of the console going for another several years from now.

As for the price... who knows? It'll probably be more expensive than the PS2 first sold for ($299). I can tell you one thing: I'm NOT waiting outside in line at the store to pick up a PS3... unless of course, it came bundled with a hot stripper!

In regards to PS3. I can not imgaine how much better things can get. The graphics on the majority of games now is as life-like as many PC games, and that is pretty tough to accomplish on a console system (love the graphics on FFX, but hated the game) I will definately be in line for Socom 3, hands down!

in my reading on playstation.com ive found articles relating to the processing ship that is gonna be used for the ps3. the chip itself isnt scheduled to be finished until middle of 2005. so dont expect the ps3 for sometime after that. i know u guys hate rumors but id post the links if the articles from march were still up at playstation.com

i think the graphics card would be better. i think it uses a 64mb graphics card so it would probably have a 128mb video card. it would come out at about $300 +
