My best sniping was as a terrorist and i got 7 kills in one round (lucky the seals were all newbies) i think the whole game i got 16-5, but sniping is hard to do and sometimes boring so if you are a good sniper that is pretty cool.

How could anyone say that sniping takes no skill? Do you know what takes no skill......using automatic shotguns, M60's and m14's. when all you have to do is wave a gun around without aiming and just holding down the trigger, that is when it takes no skill. Snipers only have 1 or 2 shots to get a kill, pretty simple right......WRONG!! you have to make sure no one spots you, you have a long reload time, and you have to resort to using a pistol when your moving around. I think that requires skill and anyone that says otherwise is a ________(Fill in the blank).

I did that on Rogue Spear and Quake 2, I can sure as hell do it in SOCOM 2 (I've played it long enough).

I've thought of doing it before, but then I stopped playing Socom 2....
I used to be a great sniper though. I recall going weeks without having a single game under 85% accuracy, and that was mainly because I used my HG. But now, I'll probably be lucky if I can hit once out of every three shots..

Sniping is so much fun
I play Xroads a lot, and am always trying to pick off people blowing the bridge, throwing grenades, running through the middle, running to the outsides....
I can't stand when I get like 4 kills in a round with my sniper and next round people are like "Which way are you sniping MrRob? I'll snipe the other way."
It's a considerate thought, but sorry, I'm not a sitting duck...
I refuse to sit in one area and watch a street over and over and over again
I have a lot of confidence in my pistol (or a lack of respect for other people's skills) so I will continually move around to snipe certain areas and clear them for my team or call out locations of enemies....
Sniping is not easy, but it is one of the funnest things that I can find in this game
And as far as the actual shooting part goes.....it's all about the angles...

I just wish we could get a good sniper for our clan.
I don't like to snipe, it's just not my thing.
If I could get someone else to do it, then that would be fine with me.

I dont wanna be a follower and say what you guys did just reword it, you got it all....its beginning to be able to snipe easier when they lag too...they run on spot...you shoot em...wait 15 seconds and they die...lag is increasing though and sometimes they run up nd kill you...which sux but o well

Sniping is a peice of cake! The only problem is that the people keep moving. How the hell am I supposed to hit a moving target?
If they would just stay in 1 damn spot, or go slow I would be 'master sniper supreme extrodinaire!'
Oh and sometimes they snipe back... what's up with that? you want me to shoot and dodge bullets at the same time? this game sucks!

That's why I love people that lay down and snipe at their spawn....
They fire at one of my guys

Sniping is a great skill...no doubt...but you are only as good as your teammates. You may get a few kills the first couple of rounds but if your team can't hold back the onslaught, your sniping will be short lived. The other team will realize the only thing they have to worry about is you, that's when they will collapse on you quickly.
I will admit though a sniper who is really good with the rifle and handgun = very deadly.
