That is strange. I would try calling Comcast and tell them what you've got going on and maybe they can help you. I know a lot of cable companies are advertising as XBOX and PS2 compatible now. There is a good chance they will know what to do. You might want to eliminate the hub from the equation too. Then you will know whether it is the problem or not.
Sorry I can't help more.

Thats what always happen to mine, When i connect it says Network adapter Disconnected, then i try again and its fine. It usually happens but sometimes it doesn't. Its strange, but i can still play so i don't really care, although it gets annoying.

It could be caused with using a hub (instead of a router) if comcast only assigns you 1 IP address. Give them a call. However I would also suggest calling Sony. The number is on the inside cover of your Socom II manual. There tech support is FREE, and that's what they're there for.

do you think it could be that the internet isnt continually going to the ps2 so when the first time it says it is dissconnected it activates the internet so the second time the internet is going to my ps2?

I dunno... when I moved into my new apartment, my Comcast broadband & (Linksys) 5-port hub worked right from the first try. This was also a connection on my memory card that I created months ago when I used to have to play online at my brother's house, who also has Comcast broadband.

My set-up was rather simple, and only took me a quick "plug-and-play" install to get up & running!

It may be free, but it sure isn't anything worth talking about....

Called there 3 times in 2 weeks for the same thing, still haven't gotten the email.

I've called them a couple of times with mixed results - the bad times were when I was causing problems. A co-worker worked with them on the phone to get his router and a friends router setup, and he was having horrific problems - but they got him up and running. (and we work in network administration).

When it comes to the technical details of setups, they are the ones that will have all the documentation, and a lot more expirence with the overall setup and problems then any of us.

To suggest someone NOT call them would not help. I think the first step should always be to call the experts. If they can solve it you get your answer imediatly.
