Very Annoying Problem!!!!!
I have a very annoying problem. I had first bought socom 2 around the time when it first came out. It was working fine for a good month, and then i started to loose the sound of bullets on sertin maps. not the backround music, or the people talking, just the sound of bullets, gernades, ect. around that time, i had started to get out of the game, and did not play it till a week ago. I still have the same problem were i dont here bullets now, like i did then. I think i can only play 2 maps, w/ full sound.

Also my friend has been having the same problems, which started about the same time that my problems started.

I just wanted to know if any 1 knows what is going on, and wonder if any 1 could help me.

Yeah my friend was having that problem a while back and he went and rented Socom 2 from blockbuster and kept their disk. Problem Solved. The only difference was that his problem was on all of the maps. Might want to give it a shot though.

It's got nothing to do with your Socom 2 disk. It was a problem on the server and still becomes a problem every so often. Don't waste your time.

On one of my SOCOM disks, I have the same problem. But I haven't tried that disk on my other PS2. So i don't know. I think I noticed this problem about a week ago.

lol, if it was a server problem, we would all complain, lol. not one person. we would all only have sound on 2 maps, dont spread rumors without proof.

Why not call the toll free number for Sony and ask them? They may have the simple, quick, and correct answer. The number is in the front of your socom2 manual.

It's free and from the authority. It's not going to hurt.

That's off-topic and there is a sticky topic on reporting cheaters in the online gaming forum. There is far more information in that thread.

Yes you can report them, and it may lead to a banning.
