I am not totally sure, but I think if you didn't use the CD that came with the network adapter, you have the option of using the SOCOM2 CD to configure the network settings- all the same.
both the network cd and socom 2 cd have been used to configure and test the connection. both pass. thats just the point, the network check on socom passed A-OK, yet connection to the sever and the universe it fails!!!
Apparently, the universe in socom-2 requires a valid central station user name and password.
Socom-1 has 2 universe, the second not requiring user name or password. the other universe is what is used for socom-2.
my user name and password must have lapsed, perhaps after 6-month, so i need to go to central station and either register again or re-activate the account. the socom-2 will recognise the user name and password!
