One & Only Problem With Socom II
Socom II only has one problem, which is the Health Meter. Socom I was perfect in the hit percentage aspect. It should only take 3-5 shots in order to kill someone, not 7-10. I'm not complaining about the game or anything, I just think the one flaw in this game is the Health Meter. The guns are fine, though I think they made the noob cannon a little too accurate. I didn't like M203's but, hey, they're apart of the game. I’ve read a lot of different forums and people don’t realize that it’s the Health Meter that is messing up the game.
I’m not sure but I hope the HDD has an effect on this?

its not really the health meter thats screwed up its just that lag (bad connections) make it alot harder to kill someone not the health meter. but i would have to say that your particular complaint is a problem on some occations

No, I'm not complaining at all. There are just times when I hit a guy in the torso area with 3-5 shots and they don't die. I don't care what type of gun is used that person should die. No if's, and's, or but's about it.

If 3 or 4 shots doesn't kill the guy, it should atleast slow him down. I don't know too many people that can take 3 shots to the body and continue to run full speed. They should also leave a blood trail so you could hunt them down and finish the job

yea I agree, not sure if its the health meter (I die from headshots alot), but enemies in socom 2 are much harder to kill than they were in socom 1. After playing socom 2 for about a month, I went back to Socom 1 and just flat out slaughtered everyone. It wasnt neccessarily the openents skill that caused me to kill them, it was just that my aiming and movement had improve drastically from playing Socom 2. When you get shot in socom 1 you die.

The life meter is actually better for the game. It is sensitive to where the bullet hits your body, unlike in Socom 1, where a bullet could hit practically anywhere and deal the same amount of damage. Thats why you can go back and notice such a difference.

True... it was always annoying to be killed by 3-4 shots to the ankles in SOCOM 1.

One of my favorite things about Socom 1 was the fact that I could snipe a guy in the ankle and he would die! :D
