The thing I hate most about things like this, is the "graphic" sex talk that I hear quite often. This is Socom, a game about war, strategy and stealth, not sex talk. The worst conversations are in REPAWN games, when the games aren't as serious.
Anyhow, I just think that the way some people behave online with a mic is absurd...Now I understand why it says, "Gaming experience may change during online play...."

Exactly... that's so Zipper/Sony couldn't be taken to court & sued when little Johnny repeats what he heard on the headset while playing SOCOM at the dinner table.

Being from the south I get just as much crap as most from people up north and out west. I'm considered a stupid redneck because of the way I talk. But the fact of the matter is I went to college have my degrees in fine art and graphic design. I pretty much know what I am talking about unless It's about 4 in the morning and tired as heck. Then I just grumble a little, make funny sounds that are ment to be words. Being from a small town in the south you do hear Racism, but some times you just can not turn the other cheek. I have to say something or take action on the remark. Most the time I ask the fool, if he would kiss his mom with that mouth or just be a total smart arse.

ya
ya i hear the n word almost any game i play in. now im white and i have several really good friends who are black, so i get really pissed when people start saying all that racist **** over the mic. you know if they were talking to you in person they probably wouldnt even call you a "jerk" or something harmless like that. its pretty annoying  |

Yeah, I know what you mean. But I too am a white guy. I hear lots of racist comments by "blacks" against white people like myself, but it really doesn't bother me. I know that if the person has any sort of real intelligence, they wouldn't be so ignorant.
And, I have said "the n word" once or twice, but only to people I knew, you know, as a joke. I don't mind saying "Wassup *****!" to a good buddy of mine because I know that he understands that I'm not being racist.
