[Magnum Force]

Ok, so right now I'm at Chapter 13: Sanctuary? in the library where you have to turn the statues to open something. But I can't get it to work.

I've checked IGN's strategy guide (here) and I've done the correct thing with the statues, and it says a bookshelf will swivel and I must turn a torch. The only problem is that nothing happens when I set the statues correctly. And I know I put them correctly.

Am I still doing it wrong, or possibly a glitch?

The only thing I can think to tell you is to make sure that you turned the statues to face the way they are supposed to according to the book. I would just double check that to make sure you have them set the right way. I didn't have any trouble with that puzzle. The one I struggled to get right was a little later when you have to turn the symbols on front of the caskets. I had a hard time getting them all the right way but finally did get it to work.

I'm positive that I placed them correctly. It still doesn't work. Maybe I just got a bad copy from the rental store.

Turn eagle (John) to face East, turn the ox (Luke) to face South and turn the lion (Mark) to face West, Matthew is already facing the right way

I already tried that... several times. I think the disc was just messed up because it had some scuff marks on it.

The game was only a rental. I still need to go buy the game.

This must be the reason for your problem, because the way murqq described it is the same way that I did this puzzle, and it worked like a charm.
