Yeah, I still like giving the store manager at EB Games who suggested this game to me a rough time whenever he's working when I visit the store... granted, it was an almost super easy 800+ points added to my gamerscore... but c'mon... it was sooooo repititious.
And I was not about ready to wait to trade it in until I found every single stinking hidden flag just to get all of the achievements... that's got to be some kind of torture in some distant land.
It was bad enough knowing the small amount of credit that I'd get back in return for this steaming turd... adios Assassin's Creed, hello the preorder of three new games!

For me it was between AC and Mass Effect, but my friend and the employee working were convinced I would like AC more and that it was just a mind blowing amazing game that I would talk about for years to come....points for gamerscore were the only good thng I got out of it, but they sure weren't worth 60 dollars.

Yup, the manager at my gamestop told me it was going to be a terrible game, but the employees hyped it up a helluva lot. Also, I was waiting a long time for AC to come out, I always loved how it looked. Once I had the game for like a week and actually had a chance to play it, I was pretty pissed off at some of the employees there. I had a long conversation with them when I returned it about how bad the game actually is, yet for some reason or other they still adored it. I don't understand how someone could like a game with a crappy story, lame ending, and constant repititon of one basic element.
That last line sounded really smart but probably didn't make much sense, I was talking out of my ***.
Mass Effect definately will last you longer and offer more gameplay wise than Assassin's Creed. Still, Assassin's rates as one of my favorite games of all time due to the story. I really loved the ironic bits (which was basically all of it) and how it dealt with the concepts of right and wrong. I have to say the missions were very repetitive, but the story more than made up for that to me. Every time I completed an assassination the surreal conversations kept me paying attention and mesmerized like a small child listening to his favorite fairy tale. A lot of people complain about the ending but I loved it. It ties up nearly everything introduced in the first game and leaves you dying for a sequel.

Yeah the story is awesome. Especially the second half, where the guy has a crystal ball that he can rule the world with.
The whole second half of the game is awesome, I mean, the whole stealth aspect gets thrown out the door. It is all about killing everything in your way to get to the target. Reaaaalll cooool....
It's not impossible to stealth assassinate the guys at the end. It's just harder. And well...I thought the explanation of the Piece of Eden was pretty cool. I would like to know exactly what Al Maulim showed the people of Masayaf to make them follow him so readily though.
