I don't know if there is a topic for this, i've check and haven't found one so i'm making one. if there is a topic somewhere you can delete this.
Anyway, Dark Sector came out not too long ago, its an amazing game, and i think anyone who likes shooters or horror games should check this out.
Tbh i got this game when it came out and never opened it until today, but when i played it i loved it, it has an amazing storyline, graphics, and the gameplay is very enjoyable.
If you have played Gears Of War then you get an idea of how this game runs, it has the same 3rd person view as Gears Of War as well as the same cover system, and some other simular things, alot of the controls are the same too for some wierd reason, but over all it makes the game very fun.
I'm glad I rented this TBH. I played it for about 5 hours straight and completed it. It was cool, but really shallow. They could have made alot more of the story and made it harder. I saved up the credits untill I got the acheivement, bought the AK, upgraded it and then just spammed bullets till the end.

Well, like gears of war yes it is pretty short. But i am sure they will release new chapters or w/e for it in the future. Hopefully.
Hmmm I doubt it. I don't think it's enough of a hit for there to be any extra chapters or add ons. Don't get me wrong, it was cool, but it can't compete with the A* titles out there. The bar is so high nowadays.

all they had to do was make throwing the ****ing glaive easier. If it had an auto aim and no crazy bioweapon enemies, and took it out of europe, it would have been alot more fun.
I rented this a little while ago and it was okay for me. I just couldn't seem to get past one of the chapters. I must've tried it 20 times, but I repeatedly died and kept having to restart from a checkpoint. It was a very nice-looking game and was fun, even though I never completed it. Maybe I just plain sucked at it.
The game was originally intended to be set in space with a more sci-fi feel to it. The developers changed this to an post-apocalyptic soviet union type environment to make the character more striking apparently.
I think the games looks really good, but agree the storyline is pretty weak and it's no Gears in terms of the gunfights. That said - the Glaive is great fun to use.

Ah, great. I rented this too, but I haven't played it yet. I'm not expecting much out of it, other than an OK shooter, so this thread comes as no surprise. I was going to wait for GTA but if it's that short I'll hammer it this weekend.
i went through the game once,i couldnt bare to do it twice. The glaive is a cool idea at first, but the Glaive actually ends up overhadowing everything else, like the story, gunplay,characters,etc. and begins to be very boring and repetitive since its not a perfect mechanic. The gunplay horribly uncool, ammo is too limited, and enemies guns burn out after 30 secs. I would comment on the story, if there was one.I can say that the graphics were really good(especially decaping with the glaive) and it started off REALLY good. It just went downhill from there. Even the ending sucked.
I'm on chapter 8. It's not quite as bad as I was expecting, but nor is it anything special. It's OK, which is good enough for a rental. I'm quite impressed by the graphics, which are quite pretty, but the main character has all the personality of a damp flannel, and the storyline is a joke. I also think the glaive is certainly overused and if it weren't for element/damage based achievement hunting I would have gotten bored of it long before now.But it's certainly not that bad. Now I've just got to clock it before GTAday!
