Also, bundles are made to sell more consoles, and more copies of the game. Why the hell would you care anyways? No sane person would complain when the BUNDLE IS THE SAME PRICE AS A STANDALONE PS3.

what the **** are you talking about? Just becuse u dont have all the systems, dont assume everyone else doesnt as well.I have every relevant game system (and portable)out, and yes i have my mgs4 on reserve since two weeks ago. Im not the type of person to hate on somthing if i didnt have it or just becuse i didnt have it. Im a video game addict so i buy EVERYTHING, but i can still have my opinion, as hipocritcal as it sounds.

Well, back to topic, im still not sold on the mgs4 bundles, especially the gunmetal one. It would b cool if it wasnt limited, becuse i need an 80 gb to go in my living room, plus i want a special edition but im not going out of my way for that.

we will see alot of the initial "bundles" floating around probably up until the christmas season, as the core percentage of mgs fans already have thier ps3s.

I would actually assume that only a fraction of the MGS fanbase has a PS3 by now.

That argument can only be made pretty much for games that are sequels to games released earlier on the system, such as Gears 2.

Also, you are extremely underestimating the popularity of MGS4. >_<

The "initial bundles" will all be sold, guaranteed. The bundles have already sold out in Japan a week after they were announced (on several online retailers), over 3 months before MGS4 is even out. The bundles will be sold out in the US and EU also. Also, people that may not even be fans of MGS will buy the bundle, simply because they want a PS3, and they would be stupid to chose a PS3 priced the same as a PS3 w/ a game.

no doubt the gunmetal will sell out very quickly, but the initial regular bundles probably will not. If theyve made as many as i think they did, you will see these things on the shelves for a while. Im not underestimating mgs's popularity, im just saying that your overhyping it. Also, its DEFINITLY not as popular here as it is in japan, so its not a proper comparison.

Actually the United States has a higher MGS to consoles sold ratio.

it doesnt really tell anything, seeing as this is the ps3 we are talking about.MGS4 is the biggest game for ps3 aside from grand theft auto,and people have been waiting for it for years. Also its coming with a beta key so there are alot more reserves on it for that exact reason. To top it off, its even trendy to want the game, as with all hyped/super anticipated games. I wouldnt be suprised if u got a load of first time players saying how the game sucks and wasnt as expected becuse of that, as with all overhyped games. but dont get me wrong, i have no doubt itll be a great game.

Becuase of the whole console war, fanboy ********, you have people getting MGS4 just "because". You have the current MGS fanbase. You have those who want a PS3 but are just waiting for the bundle since it comes with MGS. You also have a lot of people who are now interested in MGS4 although they have never played the other three. MGS4 is getting a lot more attention than previous MGS games. There is a Limited edition MGS4, and a Limited Edition MGS4 bundle. First game to be on a 50 gig Blu-ray disc............all equals A **** TON OF SALES.

Thats only becuse i stated some fact instead of my opinions, which clash with your opinions.

either way you are still way overhyping this game. Right now, the numbers are still based on pre orders and guesstimates wich arent even that accurate, since these numbers have been accumulating since the ps3 first came out. all im saying that more people will be passing up on the MGS than you think preorder or not, and if that happens to b true, u can thank grand theft auto for that. Its numbers wont come close to it.

you also cannot compare sales in japan to sales in the US, since there are more people in the tri state area than japan. theyre gaming taste are also too different to compare.

Kinda bummed. The MGo beta was supposed to come out today, but it got pushed back to Friday, because Konami UNDERESTIMATED the popularity of it.
