And the Neko Desu is the Romaji form. Japanese in english letters pretty much.
The alphabet is not all just 1 letter. There is a, i, o, u, and e, but the rest are two or more letters such as De, Do, Su, Tsu, Shi, Ki, Ko, Ne, Ko.
There are a decent amount of them, but there is a different symbol for each in Hiragana and Katakana, so you have to learn multiple characters for the same thing, but they are used at different times.
Ne= ね
Ko= こ
De= で
Su= す
In japanese, the verb always gets put at the end. So a literal translation would be, "Cat it is".
So right now I am just trying to learn all of the symbols, some basic grammar, and some basic vocabulary. Some first grade stuff.
Also, if anyone has heard of, or watched any of the show/anime BLEACH, Ichigo is the main character, and Ichigo in japanese means strawberry. :P
