PS3 Owners Wait a Little Longer to Brag...

This just in; Metal Gear Solid 4, the eagerly anticipated PS3 title, has been delayed until sometime in the 2nd quarter of 2008.

Reason being, "to make further improvements to the quality of the game".

I laughed so hard when I saw the pic and read the text. But, that's teh sux for the PS3 owners who had a constant erection(or in some cases; a constant nipple stand) for this game.

Idrc for MGS, so this doesn't effect me in anyway.

I was looking forward to it, but it doesn't bother me that much. I guess I'm not a true fan of MGS since I only played parts of the original, but for others, this will definitely be a huge letdown.

I've gotten used to the fact that a lot of PS3 games are getting delayed. Eventually, they will all be released around the same time, and PS3 owners will be very delighted and pleased with their purchase of the system. Plus, COD4 comes out next week.

I will have fun when the game comes out. I can wait, it's not biggy. I'll occupy my life with other things to do such as goto parties and win at beer pong, hang out with friends, work, goto school, and a bunch of other things. When MGS4 comes out, I will own it and I will love the BALLS off of it because the whole game series is absolutely amazing and un-touchable by any other games since MGS came out.

And why is everyone acting like this is the only game that has been post-poned? Game systems were also delayed coming off the shelf. It's something that ALWAYS happens in the game industry. I don't see what the big deal is here that makes it so much different. If someone can tell me, then please explain.

Well, for starters, it was originally supposed to be a launch title for the PS3. So were a bunch of other games *cough*killzone*cough*warhawk.

Edit: Someone at Kotaku had this to add, which was my first lol of the day:

Both the 360 and PS3 were delayed, Halo 3 was even delayed OMGz nO00o!! It happens and if I remember correctly, MGS4 was never a launch game, I believe it started as a 3rd quarter 2007 game.

By the time this game comes out my ps3 will almost be 2 years old. Thats crazy.

I'm glad that they delayed this game. And I hope hope they delay every game , for all systems , that comes out after COD4 until 2009 so I can play that and all the other 20 awesome games that are out right now that I don't have time to play.

MGS4 was never supposed to be a launch title, same with Killzone and Warhawk.

MGS4 was first scheduled as Late 2007. Q1 2008 ends on March, which is the month MGS4 was expected to come out. So the best case scenario is that the delay was only for one week into april. xD

I am a huge MGS fan, and it saddens me a little bit that it got delayed, but if they are making it better, than I won't complain.
