3rd i like seeing the character shooting etc. i do play rainbow six vegas 1st person most of the time besides when your taking cover. but it doesnt make sense having all the character customization but not seeing your guys cool custom camo until you take cover. and 3rd person because socom still to this day is the funnest shooting game ive played

I liked Socom, then Lost Planet pushed it up another level, now I am really excited about Warhawk. I love 3rd person, and I don't MIND 1st person, but played too many and they are getting a bit boring.
3rd person definately.. you can get behind cover easier with 3rd person and return fire better.... 1st person im not much of a fan of... rainbow six vegas got me into it.. and maybe call of duty 4 will lock me in.
Especially when a game is dealing with customization, I love having 3rd person. Also, 3rd person games allow getting behind cover much easier. In first person (although not THAT often) you could have a part of the body exposed.

I prefer a toggle between the two. It's helpful to see the wider view of Third Person (TP), but during firefights First Person (FP) is much easier to handle. Basically, while I'm running around and searching, I prefer TP, but in some cases the camera collides with obstacles such as walls and such, or the line of sight isn't clear but it seems like it, and in those situations FP
takes the cake.
